Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ServiceTitan Mobile.

How do I get my device to automatically update ServiceTitan Mobile?

Apple devices: On your device, go to Settings > App Store. In the Cellular Data section, toggle Automatic Downloads to ON, or tap App Downloads > Ask If Over 200 MB to auto-update all apps under 200 MB. For more, see Apple support.

Android devices: On your device, open the Google Play Store and tap the profile icon. Go to Settings > Network Preferences > Auto-update apps, then select Over any network or Over Wi-Fi only. For more, see Android support.

Are electronic signatures legal?

Yes. The Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) and the ESIGN Act provide that electronic signatures have the same legal effect and enforceability as handwritten signatures throughout the United States. In Canada, PIPEDA regulates electronic signatures and the Uniform Electronic Commerce Act (UECA) provides for their enforceability (except in Quebec, which has its own version of the UECA). E-signed documents are legally binding.

What are the requirements for an e-signature to be valid?

Five requirements must be met:

1. Consent to do business electronically: The signer must consent to using an electronic signature, which requires certain disclosures before signing.

2. Intent: The signer must intend to sign the document and agree to what they are signing. This can be demonstrated by the customer entering their name in the signature box, whether typed or drawn.

3. Association of the signature with the record: The signature must be connected to the document being signed, either by indicating how it was created or by adding a graphical or textual statement to the signed record.

4. Signed copies: Everyone who signs should receive a fully executed copy of the signed agreement.

5. Record retention: Electronic documents and signatures must be retained and able to be reproduced by all parties entitled to the document. ServiceTitan provides a software solution for each of these requirements.

Why don't I see every section on my scorecard (Service, Maintenance, Sales, and Install) in ServiceTitan Mobile?

Depending on your company's setup, you may not see every section of the dashboard. For example, if you are a technician who installs HVAC systems, you might only see the Total and Install sections because you only work jobs in the HVAC install business unit.

Is there a Spanish version of ServiceTitan Mobile for technicians?

No, ServiceTitan Mobile is currently only available in English. For more on ServiceTitan Mobile, see the Mobile Handbook.
