When you are ready to leave a job use Closeout in the mobile app. It is located at the bottom of the left sidebar. There you can mark the entire appointment done, mark just yourself done at the appointment, pause the appointment, schedule additional appointments or complete the job.
Note: These options depend on the number of technicians still at the appointment, the number of remaining appointments on the job and the permissions you have enabled on your account.

Things to know
There is a different workflow for marking a technician as Done and closing the appointment from the office. For more, see the Mark a technician as done section of Manage technicians on appointments.
Mark Appointment Done and Only Mark Myself as Done are only available when there are more appointments on a job or other technicians on the final appointment, otherwise you will Complete the Job. For jobs that will require multiple appointments, you should create appointments in advance, so that your technicians see the options you want them to use.
A technician will not be able to self-dispatch to an appointment that has been marked as done.
Each option under I Need Another Appointment Scheduled requires its own permission.
Set an alert for when a technician requests an appointment so there are no incomplete jobs waiting on new appointments.
Do not complete a job if there are more appointments or technicians on the job. Any technicians who are working or scheduled on other appointments will lose access to the job when it is completed.
If your technicians often work in offline mode, allowing them to have the Pause permission in case they are not able sync any changes done on the office side.

Marking appointments as Done
When marking appointments as Done, ServiceTitan requires a managed technician timesheet on almost every appointment, even if the job's invoice is $0. Exceptions include:
If a non-managed technician is assigned to work on an appointment without a managed technician, they can mark the appointment as Done as long as the job is part of a project, and a lead installer with a managed technician or managed installer license has worked on the project.
If a helper is alone on a recall or warranty job, you can mark the appointment as Done as long as the original job, or the original job's project, had a managed-technician who worked on it.
Mark an appointment as Done
You can mark yourself as done on an appointment by selecting Only Mark Myself as Done which allows you to leave a job without marking the entire appointment as done. If you have the Lead Technician Actions permission, you can mark an entire appointment as done by selecting Mark Appointment Done.
Tap CLOSEOUT at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Tap Only Mark Myself as Done. If you are the lead technician tap Mark Done and then choose Mark Appointment Done or Only Mark Myself as Done.
Tap CLOSEOUT.
Confirm you want to proceed by tapping CLOSEOUT.
Schedule another appointment
There are three options available to you when you need another appointment scheduled: place this appointment on hold, I will schedule another appointment and notify the office that I'll need another appointment. Each requires its own permission be set up.
Tip: Set an alert for when a technician requests an appointment so you do not miss jobs that require appointments. Go to Settings > Integrations > Alerts to set alerts.
Tap CLOSEOUT at the bottom of the left sidebar.
Tap I Need Another Appointment Scheduled.
Choose what you want to do:
Place this Appointment on Hold:
Tap the Hold Reasoning dropdown and choose an option.

Add a memo (optional).
Tap CLOSEOUT at the bottom of the screen.

I will schedule another appointment.
Tap Date to select a date from the calendar selector.
Tap Time to select a time from the clock selector.

Add a memo (optional).
Tap CLOSEOUT at the bottom of the screen.

Notify the office that I'll need another Appointment.
Enter a reason in the Why do you need another Appointment? field.
Tap CLOSEOUT at the bottom of the screen.
Confirm you want to proceed by tapping CLOSEOUT. The office will be notified to schedule an appointment.
Pause an appointment
Pause an appointment when you need to leave a job but plan to return on the same day.
Tap CLOSEOUT at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Tap Pause this Appointment.
Tap CLOSEOUT.
The appointment is now paused. To restart the appointment, tap DISPATCH when you're on your way back and ARRIVE when you return to the job site. If you do not have permission to dispatch yourself then you will need to contact the office and have them do it for you.
Complete a job in the mobile app
You should not complete a job if there are more appointments or technicians still on the job. Any technicians who are working or scheduled on other appointments, will lose access to the job when it is completed.
There are a few things that block a job from being completed:
A required form needs to be filled out
Required signatures need to be collected
Required equipment details need to be entered
Work needs to be scheduled on a sold estimate
Tap CLOSEOUT at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Tap Complete the Job.
Tap CLOSEOUT at the bottom of the screen. You will not be able to complete this step if there are forms to be filled out, signatures to be collected, missing equipment details or additional work to be scheduled.
Review if any technicians will be impacted, or if there are more appointments scheduled on the job.

Confirm you want to proceed by tapping COMPLETE JOB.
FAQ
Can technicians dispatch, arrive, and complete jobs themselves?
Yes. Technicians can dispatch, arrive, and complete jobs if they have the proper permissions enabled.
Are there changes to technician permissions?
Yes. The following permission has been renamed:
Done For Now Access is now Pause on an appointment
Two new permissions are available:
Request an additional appointment for a job
Lead technician actions allows a technician to dispatch, arrive, and mark other technicians done on an appointment.
For more, see the Technician permissions section of Close out appointments in ServiceTitan Mobile.
Are there changes in ServiceTitan Mobile?
Yes, there are changes that impact all technicians. After a technician taps Closeout, they'll see the Done For Now option has been moved there and renamed Pause this Appointment, and the Finish option has also been moved there and renamed Complete the job. If more than one technician is assigned to an appointment, they'll also see an option for Only Mark Myself as Done. Please ensure that you train your technicians for the upcoming changes. For more, see Close out appointments in ServiceTitan Mobile.
What jobs can technicians see in ServiceTitan Mobile?
In the overview section, technicians can see the next job they're scheduled for.
If a technician has permissions enabled to see all assigned, dispatched, and working appointments, their All Jobs tab will show the same job listed for each day that it has an appointment for.
Can technicians see appointments other technicians are assigned to?
A technician can only see which technicians are assigned to the same appointment they are. So if you have a multi-day job that has different people going out at different times, they can't see who else is assigned to the job. On the Closeout screen, a technician can view how many appointments are still remaining on the job. This helps them see that they may not want to complete the job just yet.
Can technicians update the status of other technicians?
Yes, technicians with the Lead technician actions permission enabled can update the status of other technicians on the same appointment. This permission is off by default and must be granted.
What options does a technician have when they want to leave a job?
The technician should use the new options on the Closeout screen when leaving a job. For more, see Close out appointments in ServiceTitan Mobile.
Can technicians schedule additional appointments from ServiceTitan Mobile?
Yes, if a technician has the Schedule additional appointments on a Job permission enabled, they have the option to schedule appointments when closing out an appointment. If they do not have permission to schedule appointments, but do have the Request an additional appointment for a job permission enabled, they can submit a request for additional appointments which appears as a Dispatch Board notification.
Note: Account configuration is required to use the Schedule additional appointments on a Job permission. To update your account, please contact Technical Support.
When should a technician use Only Mark Myself as Done?
Only Mark Myself as Done should be used when the technician is done on the job and they do not want to impact any other technicians scheduled on that same appointment. This does not complete the job when there are additional appointments scheduled on the job.
Can two technicians work on a single job where one technician completes their appointment without closing the other technician's appointment?
Yes, when the first technician taps Closeout, they will then need to tap Only Mark Myself as Done. This will complete the appointment they were assigned to, while leaving the appointment the other technician was assigned to open.
