Things to know
As the lead technician, you can oversee both managed and non-managed technicians, however, a managed technician must be present on a job before a non-managed technician can be assigned or closed out.
Depending on your company setup, you and your crew may be automatically marked as Arrived based on GPS.
How your office sets up Flexible Timekeeping determines how you create timesheets for yourself and your crew. For more, see:
Best practices
Take actions that reflect real life. For example, if everyone is on the job working, update their statuses to reflect that.
Pull to refresh the screen. Pay attention to the Last refreshed time to ensure you have the latest data of everyone's statuses on the appointment.
Your office may prefer to dispatch and arrive technicians on their side. Ask your office to confirm who is responsible for these actions.
Note: You must be Checked-In on the Dispatch Board by the office before they can dispatch you or you can dispatch yourself to a job. Check In is not the same as Clock In. Check In determines which technicians show up as available to work on the Dispatch Board for everyone in the office.
Use cases
As a supervisor technician, you need to dispatch, arrive and close out other technicians working on the same appointment to ensure everyone's status is up to date.
As a lead technician, you need to manage helper technicians riding in the same truck to reduce the need for everyone to update their statuses independently.
Dispatch and Arrive your crew with Flexible Timekeeping in the Field Mobile App
Open the job and tap Manage Crew in the Assigned Technicians section of the Job tab.

On the Manage Crew screen that opens, select the technicians who need to be marked Dispatched or Arrived, including yourself if you're taking the same action.
Tip: Tap Select all if the same action applies to everyone.

When finished, tap Dispatch or Arrive, depending on the job action you need to take.
Note: Depending on your company's setup, you may trigger one or more forms to complete after tapping Arrive. Depending on how the required arrival form is set up, each technician may need to complete the required arrival form on their device. Other types of forms can be completed later.
Depending on how your office has set up Flexible Timekeeping:
Timesheets may be automatically created when you Dispatch and Arrive your crew.
How you take meal breaks may vary.
You may need to manually manually create timesheets for your crew.

Open the job and tap Manage Crew in the Assigned Technicians section of the Job tab.
On the Manage Crew screen that opens, select the technicians in Working status who need to be marked Done, including yourself if you're taking the same action.
Tip: Tap Select all if the same action applies to everyone.
Tap Mark as Done.

If you marked everyone on the appointment as Done, tap Complete Appointment on the next screen.
Tip: You can also access this workflow by tapping Close Out > Mark Myself as Done or Complete Appointment (depending on what's shown) and selecting Manage Crew or Expand
next to your crew.
When closing out, the lead technician must:
Collect any required signatures.
Complete any remaining required forms.
Note: If there are required arrival forms assigned to each technician, then those technicians will need to complete them on their devices.
After all technicians and all appointments on the job are marked Done, complete the job. For more, see Complete a job with the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.
