Things to know

Set up a required arrival form for technicians using the Field Mobile App

To trigger a mandatory form for technicians to fill out before starting to work on the job:

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings .

  2. In the side panel, go to Operations > Forms.

  3. Create a form and add what you want the technician to fill out upon arrival. Also make sure the following fields are configured:

    • Status: Published

    • Display on: Both Office and Technician Sides

    • Assigned to: Job

  4. Save the form and then add a form trigger. Make sure the following fields are configured:

    • Trigger Assignment: Job

    • Event: When "Arrive" Button is Tapped

    • Required: Select this

    • Must complete the form at the time of trigger: Select this

    • (Optional) Require each tech to complete the form: Select this if you want all technicians who are assigned to an appointment to complete the form. If you don't select this, only one of the assigned technicians on the appointment needs to complete the form.

    • (Optional) Trigger on all appointments: Select this if you want the form to trigger on all job appointments instead of just the first appointment.

  5. Click Save to save the trigger. Form settings for triggers including job assignment and event options for appointments.
