Things to know
The service location address must be validated by the office in the customer's record for auto-arrive to work with Arrive by GPS. If the address can't be validated, the office will need to manually enter the longitude and latitude coordinates.
GPS is accurate within 3-10 meters. If GPS is unavailable, cellular triangulation is used which is accurate within 500 meters, or about 1/3 of a mile.
If GPS is not working properly, technicians can manually arrive themselves by tapping Arrive in the Field Mobile App.
Enable a GPS device
After your account is configured for Arrive by GPS, complete the following:
Enable native GPS access for the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App: This allows the Global Positioning System (GPS) on the mobile device it's installed on to track a technician's location.
Add specific GPS providers: You only need to do this if a technician uses a separate GPS device, like TomTom, Fleetmatics, or another GPS provider.
After this, Arrive by GPS is enabled by default. Now, when a dispatched technician is within 125 meters of the job service location, they'll be automatically marked as Arrived in ServiceTitan and the Field Mobile App.
Disable Arrive by GPS
To disable Arrive by GPS for a technician, remove their device from the GPS provider list in ServiceTitan.
Note: Removing a GPS device disables all GPS features in ServiceTitan, including real-time technician tracking.
Go to the top toolbar and click Settings
.In the side panel, go to Integrations > GPS.
