Use Automatic Timekeeping in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App

Overview

If your account is configured for it, Flexible Timekeeping's Automatic Timekeeping feature tracks your job actions as you work. When you dispatch, arrive, or close out a job, timesheet entries are automatically created for you. Tap these actions from your job to keep your time accurate throughout the day.

Tip: If the video doesn't play in full screen, tap More then Fit Screen .

Things to know

  • When you tap Dispatch and Arrive, Automatic Timekeeping creates timesheet entries for you. When you choose a Close Out option, the timesheet ends.

  • If you need to take a meal break or do non-job related work, pause the appointment to end your timesheet then add a manual timesheet entry for your non-job work. Tap Dispatch > Arrive again when you're ready to resume work and begin tracking time again.

  • If needed, you can still manually add and edit timesheets. If you already created a manual timesheet that overlaps with the time from your Dispatch and Arrive actions, an automated timesheet won't be created.

    Note: The Allow to create manual timesheets and Allow to edit timesheets permissions are required to use these features. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

Use Automatic Timekeeping in the Field Mobile App

Timesheets are automatically created when you tap Dispatch and Arrive. The start and end times are based on when you tap an action:

  • When you tap Dispatch, a Driving timesheet is created.

  • When you tap Arrive, the Driving timesheet ends, and a new Working timesheet is created.

  • When you tap Close Out and then tap Pause Appointment , Hold and Reschedule Appointment , Schedule Another Appointment , or Complete Job/Appointment , the Working timesheet ends.

Take a meal break with Automatic Timekeeping in the Field Mobile App

If you're still working a job and need to do non-job related work or take a meal break:

  1. Tap Close Out > Pause Appointment User interface displaying options to manage appointments and complete tasks.

  2. Add a manual timesheet entry for your non-job work. Make sure to enter both a Start Time and End Time.

  3. When finished, go back to the job and tap Dispatch > Arrive again to automatically create timesheets for your remaining work.
