New
Access tagged Field Mobile App conversations instantly from @mention email notifications: Previously, @mention emails forced technicians to manually search for messages in the app. Now, a deep link opens the Field Mobile App directly to the tagged conversation. This works instantly, regardless of the app's installation or login state. For more, see the detailed release note and step-by-step knowledge base article.
Note: The Messaging feature in the Field Mobile App is currently in Private Preview and has limited availability. If you’re interested in testing out this new feature, please reach out to your CSM (through the office).
Improvements
Act on follow-up opportunities with fewer steps and fewer missed sales in the Field Mobile App: Previously, technicians lost filters and couldn't open forms or attached PDFs in the Opportunities screen. Accidental sales are now prevented by a confirmation dialog, and follow-up reminders are now prompted after jobs. Opportunities can be added to the navigation bar, showing a badge when reminders are due. For more, see the detailed release note and step-by-step knowledge base articles:
Search, book, and reschedule from the calendar in the Field Mobile App: Previously, technicians had to manually search for appointments by scrolling through days. Now, you can search jobs and appointments using the calendar header's new search icon. You can also book a job or create a Non-Job Event by tapping open time slots in Day view. Jobs and NJEs can be easily rescheduled using a long-press drag-and-drop action. For more, see the detailed release note and step-by-step knowledge base article.
Enhancements and fixes in the Field Mobile App: Enhancements and fixes for both Android and iOS versions of the Field Mobile App:
Display Location Name on Job Cards: In Menu, selecting Commercial Terminology now configures the app to show service location names instead of customer names on job cards and job details. Technicians serving multi-site accounts can instantly see where they're headed without having to open the full job.
Streamlined Signature Experience: Work Authorization and Customer Review & Acknowledgment signatures are now faster and require fewer taps. Customers sign directly within the agreement screen rather than being taken to a separate signature screen. A full screen signature box is available, and rotating the phone to landscape provides extra signing room for a more natural signing experience.
Attach Estimates When Sending an Invoice: When sending an invoice to a customer, technicians can now select and attach related estimates as PDFs in the same action—eliminating the need for a separate send or manual follow-up from the office.
Improved Add Item from Pricebook Experience: Adding items from the pricebook now gives clearer feedback. A checkmark confirmation appears plus an animation of the item moving into a cart, when an item is added, along with a subtle haptic response, so technicians can move quickly without second-guessing whether items were captured.
Edit Work Summary Permission: Administrators can now control whether technicians are able to view and edit work summaries on jobs. When restricted, the work summary field will not be visible to the technician in the app, keeping access aligned with each team's workflow.
Auto-Skip "Perform Work" Prompt Based on Job Type: When a job type is set with a default estimate sold action (Perform Work Now or Perform Work Later), the app now automatically follows that setting when an estimate is sold—no more manual selection required on every job.
Dispatching from hold with Enable Taking Job Off Hold Permission: Previously, technicians could place a job on hold but had no way to resume it themselves, requiring office intervention to move the job forward. Now, technicians with the Enable Taking Job Off Hold permission can tap the dispatch button directly from a hold status to take ownership of the job. This eliminates unnecessary back-and-forth with dispatchers and streamlines the transition from hold to active work.
