This improvement reduces friction in the field by streamlining common tasks like rescheduling jobs, navigating to new locations, and managing invoices.
What's changing?
ServiceTitan updated several Field Mobile App workflows to help you complete work faster and with fewer errors. Changes include:
Work performed log bypass: You can now reschedule a job without being forced to fill out a work performed log. This allows you to move to the next job quickly when no work is done. For more, see Add, edit, and view work performed logs in the Field Mobile App.
Australian (AU) location creation: Technicians in Australia can now book jobs and create new locations directly in the Field Mobile App without relying on office staff. For more, see Book a job for a new service location in the Field Mobile App.
Price recalculation: The Calculate button now appears for technicians who do not have permission to view total prices. This allows you to update labor costs so the invoice reflects the correct amount. For more, see Explanation of Field Mobile App technician permissions.
Manual selection for work timing: The Field Mobile App no longer pre-selects Perform work now. You must now intentionally choose between working now or later, which prevents accidental job starts. For more, see Present and sell estimates in the Field Mobile App.
Flexible deposit collection: Restrictions on collecting deposits are less restrictive. You can now collect deposits on sold estimates even if your company uses manual office workflows to apply them. For more, see Collect deposits on sold-for-later estimates in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.
Total cost chips: A new summary chip in the invoice and estimate carts shows the total cost of materials and equipment. This helps you understand the total job cost at a glance. For more, see Use Pricebook in the Field Mobile App.
Global positioning system (GPS) navigation: The Field Mobile App now supports using latitude and longitude coordinates. This provides accurate navigation for new developments that do not have a standard address yet.
Updates to the Estimates tab: Both the custom estimate and template options now stay visible on the Estimates tab even after estimates exist on the job, and both are shown up-front when no estimates exist. On the Sell screen, "Back to estimates" has been renamed to "Continue." For more, see:

How to Prepare?
Confirm that technician roles have the View Material Costs or View Equipment Costs permissions enabled if you want them to see the new total cost chips.
Train technicians on the new rescheduling flow so they know they can skip the work performed log (WPL) when no work is done.
Identify any upcoming jobs in new developments where verified global positioning system (GPS) coordinates should be used for navigation.
Align with your technicians on the importance of manually selecting the Perform work now or Perform work later options to ensure accurate job tracking.
