Book a job for a new service location in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App

Overview

Create a new location record—and customer record, if applicable—in the Field Mobile App when you need to book a job for a new service location or customer. This allows for quick upsells and accurate logging to reduce office workload.

Things to know

Step 1: Create new records in the Field Mobile App

  1. Open the Field Mobile App and tap Menu at the bottom of the screen.

  2. On the Menu screen that opens, tap Book a jobMenu screen showing user shortcuts for customer details and messages.

  3. On the Book Job screen that opens, tap Create new location and customerInterface for booking a job with options for recent customers and locations.

  4. On the screen that opens, enter the following details:

    • Location name: The name of the service location.

      Tip: If this is for a homeowner, you can enter the name of the customer.

    • Street address: The street number and name of the service location.

      Note: If the address populates in the dropdown, select it to validate it. The remaining address fields are filled automatically.

    • Unit: The unit number, if applicable, of the service location.

    • City: The city of the service location.

      Note: If you're in Australia, the City field changes to Suburb/Town.

    • State / Province: The state or province of the service location.

    • Zip / Postal code: The ZIP or postal code of the service location.

    • Country: The country of the service location: USA or Canada.

      Note: If you're in Australia, the Country field defaults to Australia.

    • Phone: The phone number of the service location.

    • Email: The email address of the service location.

      Tip: Tap Add contact method to enter additional email, phone, fax, and mobile phone details.

    • Who will pay for the job?: This determines the bill-to party for the service location. Tap the dropdown and select one of the following options:

      • Customer is the same as the location: The address and other details for this new service location are the same as the billing details.

      • Customer is different from the location: The address and other details for this new service location are different from the billing details, which are also new. After you select this option, use the fields that open to enter new billing details for the customer.

      • Use existing customer: The address and other details for this new service location are different from the billing details, but the billing details already exist in ServiceTitan. After you select this option, use the dropdown that opens to search for and select the existing customer.

    • Select customer type: The property type: Residential or Commercial.

  5. When finished, tap CreateForm fields for customer details including name, address, and contact information.

Step 2: Book a job from a new service location in the Field Mobile App

After you create a new record, the Book Job screen opens automatically.

Enter the required details for the job:

  • Job Type

  • Business Unit

  • Marketing Campaign

  • Priority

  • Start Date & Time

  • Arrival Window

  • Summary (Optional)

  • Send booking confirmation (Optional)

When finished, tap Book Job. You are automatically assigned to the new job.
