Overview
Atlas Live makes field work easier by turning job-site documentation into a hands-free experience. Instead of stopping what you're doing to fill out records, or enter information later, just keep moving and talk through what you see while you work.
As you walk the site, Atlas Live listens to your narration and works in the background to turn your voice and photos into Equipment records, Findings, Daily Logs, and Requests for information (RFIs) and completed forms. You stay focused on the job in front of you, while Atlas handles the documentation for you to review and approve.

Things to know
Atlas prepares information for your review, but no record is created or changed in ServiceTitan until you approve it.
You can minimize Atlas Live at any time to check other parts of the app—recording continues in the background. You have full control over Atlas Live recording and audio.
Atlas Live and Field Pro recording can't run at the same time. Starting one pauses the other.
Ensure you have a stable internet connection to use Atlas Live.
Atlas Live supports your device’s dark mode.
Use cases
Equipment record creation: A commercial mechanical technician walks a building, identifies each piece of HVAC equipment while photographing the data plates, and lets Atlas prepare equipment records for review in the background.
Finding creation: A technician notices a maintenance issue—like a dirty evaporator coil restricting airflow—describes it out loud, and Atlas prepares a Finding card with a description, urgency level, and a link to the affected equipment for review.
Daily log creation: A construction foreman narrates the day's progress while walking the site—including crew activity, weather, and any issues—and Atlas turns the narration into a structured daily log entry with no typing required.
RFI creation: A foreman notices something doesn't match the approved plans, says "flag this as an RFI," and Atlas drafts an RFI with the issue description for review.
Form fill-out: A field technician narrates answers to a required safety checklist while walking the site, and Atlas fills in the form for review before job closeout.
Equipment issue check: On an HVAC preventive maintenance visit, a technician asks Atlas to check a rooftop unit. Atlas compares the unit’s readings across past visits, spots a likely refrigerant overcharge, and recommends a finding for the technician to approve.
Start an Atlas Live session
You can interact with Atlas using voice or chat. Speak naturally for a hands-free experience, or type messages in the conversation when that's more convenient. You can switch between speaking and typing as you work.

You can launch Atlas Live from a Job record or from a Project, and with the Atlas Pill.
Note: The first time you start a session, the app will ask for microphone permission if it hasn't been granted yet. If you decline, Atlas Live won't start—tap the prompt to open Settings and enable microphone access.
Start from a job record
Open an active job.
On the job record, tap Start Atlas Live.
You're taken directly into the Atlas Live conversation.
Note: The Atlas Live card only appears on jobs in an active state. It won't appear on jobs that are Scheduled, On Hold, or Completed.
Start from the Projects page
Open an active project.
On the Project record, tap Start Atlas Live.

Sessions started from a project are scoped to that project rather than a single job.
Start from the Atlas Pill
Tap the Atlas pill, visible from most screens in the app.
If a session is already active, tapping the pill returns you to it instead of starting a new one.

Capture equipment with Atlas Live
Capture equipment details with your camera and voice. As you move through the site, Atlas processes your photos and narration in the background so you can continue working.
In an active Atlas Live session, add an equipment image.
Tap Open camera to take a photo.
(Optional) Tap Upload photo to select an existing photo.
If you're taking a photo, point the camera at the equipment or its data plate, then tap the shutter button.

Describe the equipment out loud as you capture it. Include details such as:
Equipment type
Condition
Location
Continue your site walk and capture additional equipment as needed. Atlas processes your photos and narration in the background.
If Atlas needs more information—for example, if a model number is difficult to read—it asks a clarifying question. Answer the question to confirm the missing information.

Review the captured equipment details. Results typically appear within about a minute. When the review is complete, speak, tap or type Accept.

Tip: You don't need to wait for Atlas to finish processing one piece of equipment before moving to the next. Keep walking, talking, and capturing photos while Atlas works in the background.
Create daily logs with Atlas Live
Daily logs are created automatically when you narrate site conditions during a session started from a construction job or from the Projects page.
Start an Atlas Live session from a construction job record or from the Projects page.
Talk through what happened on site—progress, crew activity, weather, or anything else worth logging.
Atlas structures your narration into a daily log entry, including any area or crew members you mention by name, and attaches any photos you took during the conversation.

Because your voice narration is itself the confirmation, daily log entries don't need a separate approval step — they appear in the What Atlas Has Captured section of the Review tab for your reference.
Flag a request for information (RFI) with Atlas Live
If something doesn't match the plans you were given, you can ask Atlas to draft an RFI on the spot.
During an Atlas Live session, say a trigger phrase such as "flag this as an RFI" or "open an RFI on this."
Describe the issue—what's different from the plans, and any drawing or spec reference.
Atlas drafts the RFI with your description, the responsible party (if mentioned), and a priority.
Unlike daily log entries, RFIs always require your explicit approval before they're created.

Fill out forms with Atlas Live
Use Atlas Live to complete supported required forms by speaking or typing your answers.
Start Atlas from either location:
On the form’s detail page, tap Fill with Atlas.
On the Atlas launch screen, tap Fill out form(s).
.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T00%3A14%3A15Z&se=2026-10-26T00%3A35%3A15Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=dhahbXLg%2FxViErlSRr7br9D5ZWcHRQ7C2n5iL%2FtRriY%3D)
Answer Atlas’s questions by speaking or typing in the conversation.
Atlas adds your answers to the form and identifies any fields that still need information.
Tap the guidance card in the conversation to return to the form and review the completed fields.
.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T00%3A14%3A15Z&se=2026-10-26T00%3A35%3A15Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=dhahbXLg%2FxViErlSRr7br9D5ZWcHRQ7C2n5iL%2FtRriY%3D)
If you leave before finishing, use the persistent link in the Atlas Live conversation to resume the form later.
Note:
Forms supported by Atlas display an AI-fill indicator in the Forms list and within the form.
If a required form remains incomplete when you try to close out the job, Atlas prompts you to finish it before proceeding.
Atlas fills forms most reliably when they have fewer than 100 fields. Forms with 100 or more fields may not fill completely.
Capture findings with Atlas Live
Findings let you flag something wrong at a site—worn wiring, a dirty filter, a bigger repair that needs a quote—so it can become a lead for an estimate.
While capturing equipment or walking the site, describe the issue using voice or chat.
(Optional) Add a photo if it helps document the issue.
Atlas drafts a finding and links it to the related equipment record, if applicable.
Atlas prepares a Finding card with a plain-language description, a recommended solution, and an urgency level (Low, Medium, or High).
Review the card and tap Confirm to save it, Edit to adjust the description, solution, or urgency, or Delete to discard it.

After you confirm a finding, it's immediately available to the office.
Check a unit for equipment issues with Atlas
On HVAC preventive maintenance visits, you can ask Atlas to review a unit’s readings across past visits and recommend findings. Atlas compares the readings and trends against ServiceTitan’s equipment rules, so you can catch early warning signs before the unit fails.
Open your job and tap Ask Atlas.
Ask Atlas to check the unit by speaking or typing, for example, “Check the AC unit for signs it’s trending toward failure.”
Tip: If the location has more than one unit, name the one you mean by type, name, asset number, or serial number.
Answer any follow-up questions, such as which unit you mean, or the outdoor temperature if your form doesn’t record it.
Review each recommended Finding. It shows what Atlas found and the readings and trends behind it, and it’s marked Draft until you approve it.

Tap Approve
to save it as a finding on the unit, Edit
to change the details first, or Reject
to skip it. After you act on one, the next appears automatically.
Note: Atlas reviews completed preventive maintenance forms across past visits, so trends need more than one completed visit on the unit. Nothing is saved until you approve it, and Atlas doesn’t recommend a problem that’s already an open finding on the unit.
For more, see Use Atlas to detect Equipment Issues in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.
Review and confirm what Atlas captured
You can review the equipment, findings, daily logs, RFIs and photos Atlas captures in two places:
Inline cards: Review items directly in the conversation as Atlas processes your narration and photos.
Artifacts tab: Review all captured items in one place without interrupting an active recording.
Review Inline cards
Atlas displays captured items as cards in the conversation. Each card includes:
The item type and review status
Attached photos, when available
A title and description
Details specific to the item type
Actions to edit, confirm, or delete the item
Use the following actions:
Confirm
: Approve a draft item. The item moves to Saved in the Artifacts tab.Edit
: Update the item’s title, description, or details. Saving your changes does not confirm the item, it stays in its current state.Delete
: Discard a draft item. If the item has already been saved, Atlas asks you to confirm before deleting the record.
Note: Daily logs do not require confirmation. Your narration confirms the entry, so it appears directly under Saved in the Artifacts tab.
Review the Artifacts tab
Open the Artifacts tab from the Atlas Live conversation to review everything captured for the current job. The job address appears in the header, and opening the tab does not interrupt an active recording.

The tab includes the following sections:
Needs Review: Shows equipment and findings that still require your action. The cards appear in a horizontally scrollable list and provide the same confirm, edit, and delete actions available in the conversation.
Saved: Shows all confirmed equipment and findings, along with saved daily logs. Use the filters to narrow the list. Select a card to view the full record. To make changes, select Edit on the card.
Media: Shows all photos captured during the session in a separate grid. Select a photo to view it full-screen.
Manage multiple conversations with Threads
Atlas Live keeps a history of your conversations as Threads, so you can find and continue a past conversation instead of starting over each time.
Tap Threads from the Atlas Live conversation to see your past chats, or tap New chat to start a fresh one.
.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T00%3A14%3A15Z&se=2026-10-26T00%3A35%3A15Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=dhahbXLg%2FxViErlSRr7br9D5ZWcHRQ7C2n5iL%2FtRriY%3D)
When you're working on a project with jobs, the Threads list shows conversations tied to the project as well as conversations tied to individual jobs within it.
When you're working on a job with no project, Threads for that job are grouped together on their own.
.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-26T00%3A14%3A15Z&se=2026-10-26T00%3A35%3A15Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=dhahbXLg%2FxViErlSRr7br9D5ZWcHRQ7C2n5iL%2FtRriY%3D)
Switch between Atlas Live and Field Pro
Atlas Live and Field Pro recording both use your phone's microphone, so only one can run at a time.
Starting Field Pro while Atlas Live is active: Tap the Field Pro pill in the Atlas Live top bar. You'll see a confirmation that starting Field Pro will pause Atlas Live. Confirm to switch — your Atlas Live transcript is saved.
Starting Atlas Live while Field Pro is recording: You'll see a confirmation that switching will pause your Field Pro recording. Confirm to switch — the paused recording and its transcript are preserved, and you can resume Field Pro later.
If you decide not to switch, tap the secondary option or dismiss the confirmation — whichever system was running keeps running uninterrupted.

Troubleshooting
Atlas won't start/asks for microphone access: Tap the prompt to open Settings and turn on microphone access for the app, then try again.
"You're offline" message: Check your connection and try again.
A call or Siri interrupts your session: Atlas pauses automatically and shows a banner. It resumes on its own once the interruption ends. If it can't resume, you'll see a message letting you know your session was saved so you can review it.
The app closes unexpectedly mid-session: The next time you open the app, you'll see a banner offering to review your unsaved session.
