Overview
Atlas can review an HVAC unit’s preventive maintenance readings across past visits and recommend findings. Ask Atlas to check a unit, and it compares readings and trends against ServiceTitan’s equipment rules. You decide which Recommended Findings to save, so early warning signs reach the office before the unit fails.

Things to know
Atlas reviews the completed preventive maintenance forms for that unit across past visits, not just today’s form. Trends need more than one completed preventive maintenance visit on the unit.
Atlas covers HVAC readings across all signal groups, such as refrigerant, airflow, and electrical.
Best practices
Ask Atlas to check a unit before you leave the site. It compares the unit’s readings across past visits for you, so you can spot trends and catch early warning signs before they turn into a breakdown. Any findings you approve are saved to the equipment for the office to follow up on.
Name the unit clearly, such as by type, name, asset number, or serial number, when a location has more than one unit.
Review the reasoning on each recommended Finding before approving. You know the unit and the site conditions.
Use cases
On a preventive maintenance visit, a technician asks Atlas to check a rooftop unit. Superheat dropped from 8°F to 4°F and subcooling rose from 14°F to 19°F across two visits. Atlas recommends a finding for a likely refrigerant overcharge.
On the same unit, head pressure reads 340 PSI with a clean condenser coil. Since the coil rules out the usual cause, Atlas recommends a second finding pointing to overcharge or high outdoor temperature.
After the technician approves both, the office sees two new findings on the equipment and can create an estimate or schedule a follow-up.
Ask Atlas to check a unit for issues in the Field Mobile App
Open your job and tap Ask Atlas.

Ask Atlas to check the unit, by speaking or typing. For example:
Check the AC unit for signs it’s trending toward failure.
Any underlying issues with the furnace?
Did I miss anything on the heat pump?

Answer any follow-up questions. Atlas may ask:
Which unit you mean, if more than one could match.
The outdoor temperature, if your form doesn’t record it.
Review the first recommended Finding. It shows what Atlas found and the readings and trends behind it. It’s marked Draft until you approve it.
Note: Atlas uses ServiceTitan’s equipment rules to decide what’s normal or concerning. AI only matches your form’s field names to the standard readings, so it doesn’t make up a diagnosis.

Choose what to do with it:
Approve
: Save it as a finding on the unit.Edit
: Change the details, then save.Reject
: Don’t save it.
Note: Nothing is saved until you approve it. Rejecting one recommended Finding doesn’t affect the others. You can also approve or reject by voice: say I approve or reject.
Repeat for each remaining recommended Finding. After you act on one, the next appears automatically.
Note: If the same problem is already an open finding on the unit, Atlas doesn’t recommend it again. Approved findings are saved to the unit with a name, description, urgency level, and a reference line in Internal Notes. Your office can then create an estimate or book a job from the finding. Atlas uses that reference line to avoid recommending the same problem again, so we recommend leaving it as is.
