Step 1: Create a Speeding alert
Speeding sets the bar for how fast your drivers can go without incurring a driving infraction in ServiceTitan. By default, the Speed Threshold is set to 65 MPH. You should always set this to be higher than the max speed limit in your area and it should be slightly more than what you’ve set as your own speed limit.
For example, in the Los Angeles area, most speed limits are 70 MPH and if you want your Speed Threshold to be 10 over, you should set your Speed Threshold to at least 81. If your Speed Threshold is less than 81, your driver will get an infraction twice.
To create a Speeding alert:
Go to Fleet Pro
> Settings > Alerts and click Create Alert.

On the Create Alert screen, select an Speeding from the Alert Type dropdown.

Enter a name in the Alert Name field.
Enter a Speed Threshold.

Select which vehicles you’d like to apply this alert to from the Vehicle/Asset or Group dropdown.

Click Next.
Select the time range this alert can trigger within. You can either select 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or choose custom hours.

Click Next.
Click the Email checkbox.
Select email recipients for the alert from the Recipients dropdown.

Select Send alert to assigned driver if you want them to also receive the alert.
(Optional) Add External Recipients if you want them to also receive the alert. This can include email addresses of managers or other outside contacts.
Review the alert and click Create.
Step 2: Create a Posted Speed alert
Posted Speed sets the cap for how far over the speed limit in the area your drivers can drive without incurring a driving infraction in the system. This can be set to trigger if the driver exceeds the posted speed at all or if they exceed it by a specific MPH or percentage amount.
To create a Posted Speed alert:
Go to Fleet Pro
> Settings > Alerts and click Create Alert.

On the Create Alert screen, select Posted Speed Limit from the Alert Type dropdown.

Enter a name in the Alert Name field.
For Alert Triggers, select a duration.
If you want the alert to trigger as soon as the infraction occurs, click Instant.
If you want the alert to trigger if a driver’s infraction occurs for more than a minute, click Show violations that exceed by and enter the amount of minutes.
For Alert Triggers, select the speed threshold.
If you want the alert to trigger as soon as the driver exceeds the area’s posted speed limit, click Posted Speed Limit.
If you want the alert to trigger when the driver exceeds the area’s posted speed limit by a certain amount, click PSL by and enter the range.

Select which vehicles you’d like to apply this alert to from the Vehicle/Asset or Group dropdown.
