Create Fleet Pro alerts

Overview

You can create Fleet Pro alerts in the Create Alert page. To access this screen:

  1. Sign in ServiceTitan.

  2. Go to Fleet Pro > Settings > Alerts and click Create Alert. The Create Alert page screen.

To create alerts in Fleet Pro, perform the following tasks:

  • Step 1 Alert Details: Basic information for your alert, including the alert type, name, status, and select a vehicle to monitor.

  • Step 2 Schedule: Set the time range within which the alert triggers.

  • Step 3 Notification Settings: Confirm if you want to send alert notification then select the email notification communicating method such.

  • Step 4 Review: Review your alert then finalize it.

Step 1: Alert Details

  1. On the Create Alert screen, select an Alert Type from the dropdown list.

    Note: Depending on the alert type you select, the Alert Triggers section appears with fields and preferences related to the type of alert you chose.

  2. Enter a unique, brief, and descriptive Alert Name for your alert.

  3. Select an alert Status. Active status is selected automatically by the system.

  4. Enter the Alert Triggers information, if applicable. For more on alert triggers, see Alert triggers.

  5. Select a vehicle or group to monitor.

  6. When you’re done, click Next. The Step 2 Schedule screen opens.

Step 2: Schedule

Select the time range this alert can trigger within. You can select to have 24 hrs a day / 7 days a week alert trigger or you can customize the alert trigger hours.

To customize alert trigger hours:

  1. On the Step 2 Schedule screen, select Custom Hours.

  2. Select the days of the week and specify a time range.

    Note: You can add more than a time range for a day, but you need to have at least one.
    If you want to add more than one time range, click Plus and enter the time span for the alert trigger. To remove a time range, click Remove .

  3. When you’re done, click Next. The Notification Settings screen opens.

Step 3: Notification Settings

Specify how you want to send the alert notification and to whom the notification goes.

Note: The Sending Alert Notification button is active by default. Also, the Instantly sending of the notification is selected.

  1. Select Email as the notification method.

  2. (Optional) Enter an Additional Email message. This appears in the email body when the alert is sent.

  3. Select Recipients from the dropdown.

  4. Select Send alert to assigned driver if you want them to also receive the alert.

  5. (Optional) Add External Recipients if you want them to also receive the alert. This can include email addresses of managers, dispatchers, external coordinators, or other outside contacts.

  6. When finished, click Next to review the alert you’ve set up.

Step 4: Review

You can review your new alert on the Review screen. When you’re done reviewing the alert, click Create.

Alert triggers

An alert trigger is an event or condition that prompts an alert to be generated to notify you of a specific situation or event that requires your attention.

Alert triggers differ depending on the alert type you select.

Driving infraction

Driving infraction refers to conditions related to the operation of the vehicle.

Posted Speed Limit

Enter additional information about the Duration and Trigger alert when speed exceeds the Posted Speed Limit.

Speeding

Enter additional information about the Speed Threshold and Device Buzzer.

Stop Time

Enter additional information about the Stop Time.

Sudden Acceleration

Enter additional information about the Device Buzzer.

Unauthorized Usage

The alert triggers when the vehicle ignition is on during the specified timeframe.
