App Marketplace Program Guidelines

Best practices and guidelines for partners building integrations on the ServiceTitan App Marketplace.

Product & Integration
Do
  • Collaborate with the Certification team to ensure efficient building and optimal workflows.
  • Focus on high-value use cases that complement ServiceTitan. Solve a specific, painful problem for our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Strictly adhere to API terms and best practices. Ensure your integration is reliable, secure, and protects customer data.
Don't
  • Don't build a fragile integration. Work with the App Marketplace team at appmarketplace@servicetitan.com to maintain it through ServiceTitan updates.
  • Don't replace core ServiceTitan functionality. Your solution must enhance the platform, not compete with existing features.
  • Don't distribute your app outside your dedicated developer environment due to security and reliability risks.
Go-to-market
Do
  • Align your messaging with the ServiceTitan narrative and speak the industry's language.
  • Use the ServiceTitan Marketplace as the source of truth. Ensure your listing is detailed and clearly articulates your value proposition.
  • Train your customer-facing teams — sales, marketing, support, and more — to speak confidently about the ServiceTitan integration and how to troubleshoot.
Don't
  • Don't disparage ServiceTitan or its products or services, or promote your app in a way that disparages our competitors.
  • Don't publish non-standardized content — press releases or social media — without approval from the App Marketplace team.
  • Don't neglect social proof. Joint case studies and customer testimonials are powerful selling tools — prioritize them.
Relationship Management
Do
  • Thoroughly understand the Partner Program Agreement, including the standardized benefits and obligations for Silver, Gold, and Titanium tiers.
  • Establish clear points of contact with your partner team at ServiceTitan for support, GTM collaboration, and technical questions.
  • Engage with the ServiceTitan community and at events like the annual Pantheon conference to build relationships with the team and customers.
Don't
  • Don't be vague about your value. Have clear, quantifiable metrics on how your app increases efficiency, revenue, or Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
  • Don't wait until you have a problem to reach out to your ServiceTitan App Marketplace Team. Maintain regular, proactive communication.
  • Do not contact the ServiceTitan Sales, Product, Engineering, or Customer Success teams directly. Coordinate all communication through the App Marketplace team.
