Setup

Fleet Pro works in conjunction with GPS hardware installed in your vehicles. Once hardware is installed and your account is configured, you'll set up drivers, vehicles, and permissions in ServiceTitan to get your fleet fully operational.

Install Fleet Pro hardware in your vehicles

GPS devices must be installed before onboarding. If hardware is missing, contact fleetprosupport@servicetitan.com.

Create your drivers and vehicles in ServiceTitan

Enable Fleet Pro Driver on technician profiles and create Trucks in Inventory/Purchasing.

Match hardware to your vehicles and drivers

In Fleet Pro → Vehicle Data, assign devices, cameras, and drivers via the serial number records.

Enable Fleet Pro permissions for employees

Grant View Fleet Pro and Fleet Pro Access permissions so office staff can track drivers, receive alerts, and manage geofences.

Required access

Fleet Pro subscription required. GPS hardware must be installed in your vehicles before setup can begin.

Once setup is complete

Track vehicles in real time, monitor driver behavior, set up alerts, manage maintenance, and view fleet reports — all from ServiceTitan.

Quick Start Guide — Fleet Pro

Step 1: Create your drivers and vehicles

1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings .

2. For every technician you want as a driver, go to People > Technicians and click Enable Fleet Pro Driver on their profile.

3. For every vehicle, go to Inventory or Purchasing > Trucks & Warehouses and click Create Truck.

Step 2: Match hardware to your vehicles and drivers

1. Go to the navigation bar and click Fleet Pro .

2. Click Vehicle Data and click the serial numbers under the Vehicle Name column.

3. Match your hardware by selecting vehicles, drivers, and cameras from their respective Assigned dropdowns.

4. When finished, click Save and repeat for all of your installed devices.

Step 3: Enable Fleet Pro permissions for employees

1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings .

2. For every employee that you want to have access to Fleet Pro, go to People > Employees and enable the View Fleet Pro permission on their profile.

3. To make office employees eligible for email alerts and geofencing notifications, click Enable Fleet Pro Access from the Profile screen.

Why is a unit not showing in the driver score report for Fleet Pro?

This typically happens when a technician is not assigned to a vehicle. For the driver scorecard to populate, a technician must be assigned to a vehicle. If a technician is already assigned and you still don't see a score, unassign and reassign them to troubleshoot.

How can I prevent Fleet Pro devices from going offline?

Ensure the GPS device is securely connected to the vehicle's power source. Loose or damaged OBD-II or hardwired connections are the most common cause of disconnections.

Why are my Fleet Pro video requests stuck in Pending status?

Weak or no connectivity: The camera device must be online with strong LTE coverage to upload requested footage. If the vehicle is parked in a poor-signal area, like a garage or tunnel, the request may stay pending until coverage improves.

Device busy: If the camera is currently recording or processing an event, such as an active incident, video uploads may be delayed.

Sometimes the video stays in Pending status because the camera does not receive the request. In this case, you can delete the request and resubmit it again to troubleshoot.

Why is Fleet Pro hardware not working after installation?

1. Check installation: Ensure the GPS and camera device are firmly plugged into the OBD-II port or hardwired harness. Loose or partial connections are the number one issue.

2. Power check: Make sure the vehicle ignition is on. Devices typically activate only with power.

3. Activation delay: Allow 15–30 minutes for new devices to register on the platform.

4. Device compatibility: Ensure the hardware model is approved for your Fleet Pro account.

If all steps fail, perform a reset if the device supports it, or escalate to Technical Support with the device ID.
