Problem

Jobs booked through Scheduling Pro show longer durations than the durations configured in the job types.

Solution

Workflow Summary

To resolve the issue, verify the job duration settings, review the assigned Arrival Windows, and check the specific job in question.

Verify the job duration settings

To confirm that the right job duration is set for the job type:

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings.

  2. In the side panel, click Operations > Job Types.

  3. From the Job Types screen, verify that the Duration field is correct for the specific job type.

Review Arrival Windows

To review arrival windows and ensure that the job type duration and arrival window match up.

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings.

  2. In the side panel, click Operations > Arrival Windows.

  3. From the Arrival Windows screen, ensure they are properly set up and cannot affect the job duration.
The job type has a set duration. If the scheduler uses the job’s duration instead of the arrival window and they don’t match, it can cause unexpected durations.

Check the specific job

Ensuring the job duration settings and arrival windows are not the issue, review the specific job.

  1. Open the specific job in ServiceTitan that’s having the issue.

  2. Compare the actual duration to the job type duration.

Note: If the durations still don’t match, contact Technical Support for further assistance.
