Track your team's Field Mobile App versions with the Mobile Command Center

Prev Next

Overview

Mobile Command Center shows which mobile app version each member of your field team is running, along with when they were last active. Administrators and Field Managers use it to spot outdated or unsupported installs before they cause problems in the field, and to notify technicians directly when they need to update.

Who uses this feature

  • Business owners, Administrators, Field Managers

  • Applies to all business types

  • Applies to all trades

Feature configuration

  • This feature rolls out automatically over the next few releases and appears in the office without any setup.

Things to know

  • It can take a few minutes for a technician's most recent app activity to appear on the screen.

  • The warning banner settings you configure in Options apply only to your own view — they don't change what other office users see.

  • Update reminders are sent to technicians by SMS.

Best practices

  • Assign someone on your team to review the screen on a regular schedule, such as weekly, instead of only checking after a problem comes up.

  • Set the warning banner's unsupported threshold to a level that fits the size of your field team — a small team may want a lower threshold so drift is caught sooner.

  • Use the Notify options to reach technicians directly from the screen instead of tracking down outdated installs manually.
