Enable or disable Arrive by GPS for technicians using the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App

Overview

Dispatched technicians with GPS-enabled devices are automatically marked as Arrived in ServiceTitan when they're within 125 meters of a job's service location. This helps to ensure accurate timesheets, dispatcher workflows, and customer communications.

Things to know

  • The service location address must be validated by the office in the customer's record for auto-arrive to work with Arrive by GPS. If the address can't be validated, the office will need to manually enter the longitude and latitude coordinates.

  • GPS is accurate within 3-10 meters. If GPS is unavailable, cellular triangulation is used which is accurate within 500 meters, or about 1/3 of a mile.

  • If GPS is not working properly, technicians can manually arrive themselves by tapping Arrive in the Field Mobile App.

Enable a GPS device

After your account is configured for Arrive by GPS, complete the following:

After this, Arrive by GPS is enabled by default. Now, when a dispatched technician is within 125 meters of the job service location, they'll be automatically marked as Arrived in ServiceTitan and the Field Mobile App.

Disable Arrive by GPS

To disable Arrive by GPS for a technician, remove their device from the GPS provider list in ServiceTitan.

Note: Removing a GPS device disables all GPS features in ServiceTitan, including real-time technician tracking.

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings .

  2. In the side panel, go to Integrations > GPS.

  3. Click Edit next to the GPS provider used by the technician.

  4. Click the Devices tab.

  5. Locate the technician then click DeleteInterface for editing GPS provider details, showing user accounts and options to delete.

  6. When finished, click Save.
