Serialized Inventory enables you to track specific inventory items using serial numbers as unique identifiers. You can record and track individual items sold to customers or purchased from vendors with a serial number. Serialized Inventory allows you to identify the location and ownership of items and track items that have a warranty or a high dollar value.

Things to know
Items can only be serialized if they are available at an inventory location. If the quantity available for an item at a location is negative, you cannot enter a serial number for that item at that location. You need to create the necessary inventory adjustments to make the quantity of the item non-negative and then the item can be serialized.
When serialized Inventory is enabled, serial numbers are not exported to your accounting system because you can track them in ServiceTitan.
