Overview
The Barcode Scanning feature eliminates the time-consuming and human error-prone process of manual item identification, significantly improving the efficiency and accuracy of inventory management. When using the mobile app to scan barcodes, inventory managers, warehouse staff, and technicians can easily identify materials and equipment involved in specific transactions, including:

Things to know
The barcode can be assigned to one item at a time. However, one item can have multiple barcodes assigned to it.
Add barcodes to pricebook items in Settings
Go to the navigation bar and click Settings
.From the side menu, click Inventory > Barcode Scanning.
On the Barcode Scanning screen that opens, click the Export tab, then click Export Barcodes.

Tip: Select the Include inactive items and Include inactive barcodes options if you want to activate and include inactive items or barcodes while exporting the XLSX version of the Barcodes.
The XLSX version of the Barcodes downloads to your device.
Modify the XLSX file by updating the columns as follows:
Replace the existing pricebook item code in the Item Code column with the value you want.
Replace the existing barcode in the Barcode column with the value you want.
Set the value of the Active column to 1 to mark the pricebook item as active.
Save the XLSX file.
Go back to ServiceTitan.
On the Barcode Scanning screen, click the Import tab, then click Import Barcodes.

Upload the XLSX version of the Barcodes from your device.
The XLSX version of the Barcodes is successfully imported to ServiceTitan.
Add barcodes to pricebook items in Pricebook
Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook
.From the side menu, click Materials or Equipment. The corresponding screen opens.
Select the item you want to add a barcode to, click the Actions
icon, then click View/Edit Equipment.On the Edit Equipment screen that opens, click the Inventory Settings tab, then click the Barcode Scanning card.

Click Add a barcode. The Add Barcode pop-up opens.

In the Barcode field, enter the item barcode.
Note: The barcode should be in American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII).
When you're finished, click Add.
You can always come back and add more barcodes to an item.
Add barcodes to pricebook items in bulk
Click the Arrow icon, then click Download a Template. The XLSX version of the Barcodes downloads to your device.

Open the XLSX file and in the Barcode column, enter the barcodes of that specific pricebook item.
Go back to ServiceTitan.
Click the Arrow icon, then click Import a Template.
Upload the updated XLSX version of the barcodes from your device.
The XLSX version of the Barcodes is successfully imported to ServiceTitan.
Additionally, on the Barcode Scanning screen, you can:
Click the Delete icon to deactivate a barcode.

Select the Only Show Active option to view only active barcodes.
Use the Search field to find a specific barcode by number.
