Find projects in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App

Overview

You can access a project through the job it's linked to in the Field Mobile App. If you have permission for it, you can also access projects from the main navigation of the Field Mobile App. From here, you can search by name, number, location, customer, or manager. This helps you start work faster.

Note: Your search results depend on the project visibility permissions your administrator has enabled for you.


Who uses this feature

  • Technicians

  • Primarily benefits Commercial Construction and Residential Construction business types

  • Primarily benefits Plumbing, HVAC, Garage, Electrical, and Roofing/Exterior trades

Feature configuration

  • The Field Mobile App is optimized for iOS, iPadOS, and Android phones and tablets. For more, see System requirements and mobile app information.

  • If you're using the Field Mobile App and need support, please contact (through the office) or reach out directly to support@servicetitan.com.

  • The following permissions control project search and visibility. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

    • View My Projects: Allows you to access the Projects screen and scopes results to only projects you sold or are assigned to. For more, see View projects in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.

    • Search All Projects: Allows you to access the Projects screen and search for projects, regardless of assignment.

      Note: When View My Projects is enabled, it takes precedence over Search All Projects, even if both are turned on.

Things to know

  • Only jobs or visits that occur in the same location can belong to the same project.

  • If you're offline, only cached projects assigned to a technician with open appointments for the current and next day—today and tomorrow—are shown on the Projects screen. Notification indicating offline status and potential missing search results in project management app.

  • When you sign in to the Field Mobile App, make sure to tap Sign in. If you sign in by tapping Use Legacy Login, project search won't work. For more, see Sign in to the Field Mobile AppServiceTitan Field app login screen with a user ready to sign in.

Use cases

  • As a Residential Construction technician, during a service visit you search for a kitchen remodel project by customer name to update progress photos.

  • As a Commercial Construction technician, you search by location name to locate a large HVAC install project and review schedules.

  • As a Roofing salesperson, you search for projects you sold to check the status of follow-on jobs.

Search for projects in the Field Mobile App

Note: The Enable Projects Search permission is required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

To search for a project:

  1. Open the Field Mobile App and tap Projects at the bottom.

  2. On the Projects screen that opens, your five most recently opened projects are shown. Project management interface displaying two projects with statuses and details.To find more projects, you can search by:

    • Project name

    • Project location name

    • Project location address

    • Customer name

    • Project status

      Note: The results you see depend on your visibility permissions. If View My Projects is enabled, only projects you are associated with are returned.

  3. Tap a project to view it in more detail. For more, see View projects in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.

Find the project associated with your current job in the Field Mobile App

To view a project associated with your current job, open the job and tap the project link at the top.

From here, you can access the details of the project. For more, see View projects in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.

Find projects associated with the jobsite location in the Field Mobile App

To find all projects associated with the jobsite location, open the job and tap Location Info > Projects.

Note: The Projects section on the Location Info tab is only shown if there are existing projects for a location. The View location record permission is required to see and use all details on this tab in the Field Mobile App. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

A list appears showing all projects associated with the jobsite location. Each project in the list shows the following at a glance:

  • Project number

  • Project name

  • Number of jobs on the project and the balance

  • Project date

  • Project status
