View projects in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App

Overview

You can view projects and the jobs and media associated with them in the Field Mobile App. If needed, you can also add timesheets directly from the project. This ensures you have quick access to the things you need, and full visibility on the work being done for a customer.


Who uses this feature

  • Technicians

  • Primarily benefits Commercial Construction and Residential Construction business types

  • Primarily benefits Plumbing, HVAC, Garage, Electrical, and Roofing/Exterior trades

Feature configuration

  • The Field Mobile App is optimized for iOS, iPadOS, and Android phones and tablets. For more, see System requirements and mobile app information.

  • If you're using the Field Mobile App and need support, please contact (through the office) or reach out directly to support@servicetitan.com.

  • The following permissions control project search and visibility. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

    • View My Projects: Allows you to access the Projects screen and scopes results to only projects you sold or are assigned to.

    • Search All Projects: Allows you to access the Projects screen and search for projects, regardless of assignment. For more, see Find projects in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.

      Note: When View My Projects is enabled, it takes precedence over Search All Projects, even if both are turned on.

Things to know

  • Only jobs or visits that occur in the same location can belong to the same project.

Use cases

  • As a Residential Construction technician, you start a shift and tap Projects to open a custom home project you accessed yesterday. You add a timesheet for the day.

  • As a Commercial Construction technician, you open a school remodel project from your recent list and enter a daily log on a completed inspection.

  • As a Roofing salesperson with View My Projects enabled, you search for projects and see only the projects you sold work on. You tap into a project to check job status.

Update project statuses in the Field Mobile App

Note: You must be online with a stable internet connection to use this feature. Additionally, the Edit Project Status permission is required to use this feature. Please contact your office for details.

  1. Search for the project or open it from the current job you're working.

  2. On the project that opens, tap Edit  next to StatusOverview of the ABC Project with project number and status highlighted for editing.

  3. On the Project Status screen that opens, tap the status of the project. User selects project status options including Pending, Scheduled, In progress, and Completed.

The status is updated on the project for both you and the office.

View project details in the Field Mobile App

First, search for the project or open it from the current job you're working. After you open the project, you can view the:

  • Project name

  • Project number

  • Status

  • Customer

  • Location

  • Project Manager

  • Details

  • Started on, target completion, and actual completion date

  • Project totals, if available

  • Jobs on the project

  • Invoice for all jobs on the project

You can also:

  • Add timesheets for yourself or your crew.

  • Tap the location address to view it on a map.

  • Tap any of the linked jobs to view or work on them.

    Note: If the Project-Associated Job Actions permission is enabled, tapping a job from the project detail screen opens it in editable mode, even if you are not assigned to the job. Your existing action-level permissions still apply—for example, you can only sell estimates if you have the relevant estimate permission. When Project-Associated Job Actions is disabled, non-assigned jobs open in read-only mode.

  • Book a follow-on job directly from the project.

  • Access documents on the project, including Media & Attachments and Forms

  • Access daily logs on the project, if your account is configured for it

  • Access RFIs on the project, if your account is configured for it

View project documents in the Field Mobile App

After you open a project, you can scroll to the Documents section and tap Expand next to what you want to view: Media & Attachments or Forms.

If you're viewing Media & Attachments, tap the media you want to view.

If you're viewing Forms, tap the form you want to view then tap Open Form.

Note: You can also access project documents by opening the job linked to a project and tapping View All in the Media section of the Job tab. From here, tap View in Project Documents.
