Problem

Solution
Follow these steps to cancel the membership:
Find the customer membership.
Edit the membership to open its details.
Look for the cancellation date, and check if it is set in the future.
If the cancellation date is in the future, edit this date. Set it to today's date or a past date.
Change the membership status to Canceled.
Save your changes.
Make sure the status changes to Canceled and stays that way.
By setting the cancellation date to the current or past date, you ensure the membership is correctly canceled.
