Overview

You can use Titan Intelligence (TI) to automatically generate estimate names and summaries with selected job information in the Field Mobile App. This saves time and creates consistent estimates that clearly explain recommended work to customers.

  • The Field Mobile App is optimized for iOS, iPadOS, and Android phones and tablets. For more, see System requirements and mobile app information.

  • If you're using the Field Mobile App and need support, please contact (through the office) or reach out directly to support@servicetitan.com.

  • The Generate Estimate Name and Summary with AI permission is required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

Things to know

  • You can regenerate the TI content multiple times if the first version does not meet your needs.

  • The TI-generated content can be edited before saving, allowing you to add customer-specific details or adjust the wording.

  • The estimate name and summary appear on estimate presentations to customers, so review the generated content carefully before saving.

  • TI-generated summaries complement but do not replace estimate line item descriptions that show pricing and quantities.

  • The names of certain screens, tabs, and so on may be different based on your selection in Menu > Settings. For more, see Show Residential or Commercial terms in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.

Best practices

  • Add your input to the Estimate info and recommendations field to provide TI with more context and improve the generated output.

  • Select to include Job Summary, Completed Forms, and/or Estimate Items & Descriptions in the TI generation when available, as they provide valuable context about the work performed.

  • Review generated output for accuracy before saving, especially for technical details or customer-specific information.

  • Edit TI-generated summaries to add personal touches or emphasize points important to the specific customer.

  • Use consistent estimate item descriptions in your pricebook to help TI create clear, professional summaries.

  • Generate estimate documentation after completing all forms and adding all items to ensure TI has full context.

  • A technician creates a complex estimate with many line items and uses TI to organize all the information into a clear, customer-friendly summary.

Generate an estimate name and summary in the Field Mobile App

  1. Open your job and:

    • If your default terminology is set to Residential, tap the Estimates tab.

    • If your default terminology is set to Commercial, tap the Proposals tab.

  2. Tap an existing estimate or create a new estimate.

  3. Tap Generate Name and Summary.

    Tip: If you only want to generate a summary, tap Add or Edit next to the Summary field.

  4. On the TI generation screen, review the Job Info to Include section and select the information you want TI to use:

    • Job Summary: Includes the overall job description and notes.

    • Completed Forms: Includes data from all forms completed for this job.

    • Estimate Items and Descriptions: Includes all line items currently added to the estimate.

      Tip: Selecting more job information typically produces more detailed and accurate summaries. Include completed forms and detailed estimate items for best results.

  5. If you want to add specific instructions or recommendations, enter them in the Estimate Info and Recommendations text field.

  6. If you are generating both a name and summary, select Also generate estimate name.

  7. Tap GenerateEstimate details for a cracked evaporator coil needing replacement to prevent compressor damage.

  8. Review the TI-generated content:

    • If you want different content, tap Regenerate to create a new version.

    • If you want to make changes to the generated content, tap in the Name or Summary fields and edit the text.

  9. When finished, tap SaveSummary of refrigerant recharge and evaporator coil replacement for efficient cooling operation.

Note: The TI generation uses the current state of your estimate. If you add more items or complete additional forms after generating content, you can regenerate to include the new information.

Edit TI-generated estimate content in the Field Mobile App

  1. Open your job and:

    • If your default terminology is set to Residential, tap the Estimates tab.

    • If your default terminology is set to Commercial, tap the Proposals tab.

  2. Tap Edit next to the Name or Summary field.

  3. Make your edits to the text.

  4. When finished, tap Save.

Tip: You can combine TI-generated content with manual edits. For example, let TI create the initial summary, then add specific customer details or personal notes.
