How to fix booking issues on a sold estimate caused by items being removed from the invoice

Problem

A sold estimate does not allow booking due to the error message: "this item was removed from the invoice after the estimate was sold. It was indicated that work would not be performed on a later job."

Solution

Follow these steps to resolve the issue and book your job:

  1. Open ServiceTitan and go to the estimate that is causing the problem.

  2. Look for an option to duplicate the estimate. Click on it to create a duplicate.        

    Note: You can duplicate items if you remove all items from the invoice. If you have an issue with only one item, you can add the same item to the same estimate and book that into the same job.

  3. Review the duplicated estimate to ensure all necessary items are included.

  4. Book the new job from this duplicated estimate.        

    Note: You can add it to the existing job that is on the same project.

  5. Go back to the original sold estimate that you could not book.

  6. Find the option to dismiss or delete the sold estimate. Choose it to remove the problematic estimate from your system.

By duplicating the estimate and booking from the duplicate, you bypass the issue caused by items being removed and marked as not to be performed on a later job. This allows you to proceed with booking your job as needed.
