Overview

Use the Marketing Pro Template Builder to create your own email templates, allowing you to start marketing campaigns quickly. Customize your email templates to include your company logo and a customized Unsubscribe link to send unique emails identifying your brand.

  • Marketing managers, business owners, and other marketers on your team

  • To get started with Marketing Pro, request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager (PAM).

Things to know

  • Email templates can be archived, unarchived, and cloned.

  • You can't edit email templates created by ServiceTitan, but you can edit a cloned ServiceTitan email template. For more, see Manage Marketing Pro Email Templates.

  • Email templates created and shared with you in the last 30 days have a New tag.

Best practices

  • Add merge tags to your content to personalize the email experience for your customers. For more, see Add special links and merge tags to your marketing content.

Create an email template

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing

  2. In the side menu, click Email Templates.

  3. On the Email Templates screen that opens, click Create NewUser interface displaying email templates with a 'Create new' button highlighted.

  4. On the Create new Email Template pop-up that opens, enter a Name for the new email template.

  5. Select a Campaign Type and then click ContinueCreating a new email template named HVAC Template for Unsold Estimates campaign.

  6. Enter the Subject Line for the email template. This is the first thing recipients see and should explain the email's purpose.

  7. Enter the Preview Text for the email template. This snippet shows after the subject line.        

    Note: If you don't add preview text, content from the email template is used instead.

  8. On the Configure Email Template screen that opens, add your email content:        

    • Use the Content, Rows, and Settings tabs to drag and drop the content to the white space.

    • Organize the elements as you go.

    Tip: On the Configure Email Template screen, there are different link types and merge tags that you can insert into your email to further customize it.

  9. To preview your template, click the Actions dropdown and then select Preview. The Preview mode screen opens.        

    Note: You can select between the Desktop or Mobile view.

  10. When finished, click Save.

Preview an email template

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing

  2. In the side menu, click Email Templates.

  3. On the Email Templates screen that opens, hover over the email template and click Preview.

  4. Click Desktop or Mobile to switch between the desktop and mobile views. Holiday greeting card promoting stress-free cleaning services for the festive season.

Test an email template

Send a test email to see how your email template will look to customers. This option is available only for cloned ServiceTitan templates or templates created by your company.

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing

  2. In the side menu, click Email Templates.

  3. Hover over the email template and click Edit.

  4. Click the Actions dropdown and select Send Test.

  5. In the Send Test Email pop-up that opens, enter the Email address you want to send the test to, the Subject of the email, and the Brand to send the email from.

  6. When finished, click SendForm to send a test email with fields for email, subject, and brand selection.
