Manage Marketing Pro email templates

Overview

Customize and manage email templates with the Marketing Pro Email Campaign Builder. Templates can be created by you or ServiceTitan. You can also request a template to be made for you, if the available templates do not meet your marketing needs.


Make sure you’re viewing the correct Marketing Pro content

This article is for Marketing Pro v2. If you are using Marketing Pro, see Manage Marketing Pro email templates for content specific to your experience.

You can check your version following these steps:

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing A speaker icon representing Marketing in ServiceTitan..

  2. If the side menu under Analytics includes One-Time Campaigns and Automated Campaigns, you're using Marketing Pro v2. If these options aren't visible, you're using Marketing Pro.

Who uses this feature

  • Marketing managers, business owners, and other marketers on your team

  • Primarily benefits Commercial Service and Replacement business types and Residential Service and Replacement business types

  • Applies to all trades

Feature configuration

  • To get started with Marketing Pro, request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager (PAM).

Things to know

  • Email templates can be archived, unarchived, and cloned from the Email Templates screen.

  • You can't edit the email templates made by ServiceTitan, but you can edit a cloned ServiceTitan email template.

Overview of the Email Templates dashboard

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Email TemplatesEmail templates section showing various marketing templates and filter options for campaigns.

On the Email Templates screen, you can:

  • Filter templates: Use the Filters to change the templates you see. You can filter by:

    • Template Type: Show templates created by you, ServiceTitan, or both.

    • Featured: Show templates you've marked as a favorite, are new, or have been used in recent campaigns.

    • Tags: Show templates you've tagged.

    • Campaign type: Show templates by campaign type. Campaign types include unsold estimates, membership reminders, equipment service check-in, and more.

    • Trades: Show templates for one or more trades.

  • Search templates: Search by name, who created it, campaign type, or trade.

  • Sort templates: Sort by most recent, alphabetical, or most used template.

Email Templates Actions

Hover over a template to see the main actions you can take. Depending on the status of the email template, you can edit, preview, clone, or archive a template. You can also add an email template to your favorites list.

View email templates

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Email Templates.

  3. Click Card View and List View  to change between the different views. Email template management interface displaying various templates and options for editing.

Edit an email template

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Email Templates.

  3. Find the email template you want to edit and click Edit.        

    Note: If you're using the Card View mode, hover over the template to see the Edit option.

  4. Edit the template as needed.

  5. When finished, click Save.

Clone an email template

If you have an email template that works well, you can clone it and use it for other campaigns. You can clone public email templates and templates you created.

To clone an email template:

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Email Templates.

  3. Click More Actions  > Clone next to the template you want to clone.        

    Note: If you're using the Card View mode, hover over the template to see and click Clone.

  4. In the Clone Template pop-up that opens, enter a Name and select a Campaign Type for the cloned campaign.

  6. Edit the cloned template as needed.

  7. When finished, click Save.

Preview an email template

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Email Templates.

  3. Click Preview for the email template you want to preview.        

    • If you're using the Card View mode, hover over the template and click Preview.

    • If you're using the List View mode, click Edit for the template and then click Actions > Preview.

  4. Click Desktop or Mobile to switch between the desktop and mobile views. Holiday greeting card promoting stress-free cleaning services for the festive season.

Add a template to favorites

On the Email Templates screen, click Add to Favorites to add a template to your favorites. You can add public email templates and templates you created to your favorites.

Note: For Card View mode, hover over the template to see and click Add to Favorites .

Archive email templates

You can archive an email template to hide it from the dashboard and prevent it from being used by you or anyone on your team. You can archive public email templates and templates you created.

To archive an email template:

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Email Templates.

  3. Click More Actions  > Archive for the template you want to archive.        

    Note: If you're using the Card View mode, hover over the email template and click More Actions  > Archive.

  4. On the confirmation window that opens, click Confirm.

Unarchive email templates

You can unarchive an email template to restore it to your dashboard and allow your team to use it. You can unarchive public email templates and templates created by you.

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Marketing .

  2. In the side menu, go to Campaigns > Email Templates.

  3. On the Email Templates screen that opens, click the Email Templates dropdown then select Archived TemplatesUser selecting 'Archived Templates' from the email templates dropdown menu.

  4. Click More Actions  > Unarchive next to the email template you want to restore.        

    Note: If you're using the Card View mode, hover over the email template to click More Actions  > Unarchive.

  5. On the confirmation window that opens, click Confirm.
