Create an estimate for Construction opportunities

Overview

When an opportunity for a construction project is identified, create an estimate from the Call Booking screen or the location record before you begin building an estimate. Below you can find three ways to create an estimate from the Call Booking screen.


Who uses this feature

  • Accountants and office employees

  • Primarily for Residential Construction and Commercial Construction business types

Feature configuration

  • Account configuration is required. Please contact Technical Support for details.

  • Permission is required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

Create an estimate from a location record

  1. Search and open the location record for which you want to create an estimate.

  2. Click Build EstimateUser interface showing options for booking jobs and building estimates for a customer.Build Estimate(s) opens.

You're now ready to build an estimate from this customer location.

Create an estimate from the Call Booking screen

  1. Go to the main navigation bar and click Calls (or Job Booking for ServiceTitan Phones Pro).

  2. Click Manual job.

  3. In the Name field, enter the customer name for who you want to create an estimate.

  4. If you're on a Windows computer, right-click the customer location and select Build Estimate. If you're on a Mac computer, control-click the customer location and select Build EstimateUser interface showing customer search options and action to build an estimate.Build Estimate(s) opens.

You're now ready to build an estimate for this customer location.

Create an estimate from Call Booking screen customer location

  1. Go to the main navigation bar and click Calls (or Job Booking for ServiceTitan Phones Pro).

  2. Click Manual job.

  3. On the Call screen, find a customer or service location record. For more information on how to find a customer or location record, see Manage customer and service location records.

  4. Select the service location.        

    Note: If the location record pop-up opens, you can close it.

  5. Go to the Overview section.

  6. Click the Business Unit dropdown and select the business unit you want. For example, HVAC.

  7. In the Summary field, provide an estimate summary.        

    Note: To build an estimate, the Business Unit and the Summary fields are required.

  8. Click Build estimateOverview of a job request for a clogged drain with technician details and options.The Estimate screen opens. After building the estimate, you can work with the estimate, including naming the estimate, printing the estimate, emailing the estimate, or setting other estimate details.
