Use search in ServiceTitan

Overview

ServiceTitan has search fields that help you find information faster and navigate more efficiently. With search, you can:

  • Search for records: In the navigation bar, click Search   to find customers, service locations, leads, estimates, jobs, invoices, calls, and more.

  • Search in Call Booking: In the navigation bar, click Calls and use the Search for customer section to find customer and service locations.

  • Search for settings: In the navigation bar, click Settings   and use the Search field to find the settings and permissions you want to edit.

  • Use Quick Navigation: Press forward slash (/) to open a search field you can use to quickly go to screens within ServiceTitan.        

    Note: Quick Navigation is disabled when you're entering text to allow for regular use of forward slash.

Feature configuration

  • The Run Search and Allow exporting search results permissions are required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

Search for records

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Search  

  2. Click the Search dropdown to select what you want to search for. 

  3. Use the filters to refine your search. To view all records that exist in a category, leave these fields blank. When you're ready to perform your search, click Search  

Anything shown in blue is a link that opens the record.

When you have your search results, you can:

  • Filter your results using one or more filters on the left.

  • Click a column name to sort it alphabetically or numerically. 

  • Click Close   to clear your search results. 

  • Export your results as an XLSX or CSV file if you have the Allow Exporting Search Results permission enabled. To download a file, click the dropdown next to search and select a format. 

Tip: Download in Excel or CSV format to have the flexibility to print the search results using Excel.

Search in Call Booking

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Calls .

  2. In the Search for customer section, enter the customer or service location name, then click Search .

  3. Click a customer's name to open the customer record, or click an address to open the service location record. 

    Tip: You can prevent the customer and service location windows from opening automatically by setting individual call booking preferences. If you have the preference Automatically Open Location/Customer Pop-up disabled, you can view the customer and location pop-up from the Call Booking screen by clicking Preview next to the customer or location.

Search for settings

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings .

  2. In the side panel, enter the name of the setting you want in the search field.

  3. Click the setting you want to edit. 

Use Quick Navigation

Get to the page you want with fewer clicks. Pressing forward slash (/) opens a search field you can use to quickly navigate within ServiceTitan.

To use Quick Navigation:

  1. From anywhere in ServiceTitan, press forward slash (/). Quick Navigation opens.        

    Note: Quick Navigation is disabled when you're entering text to allow for regular use of forward slash.

  2. Enter the page you want to navigate to. Suggestions appear as you type. When you've found what you're looking for, click the name of the page.        

    Tip: Click Close or press Esc to exit Quick Navigation.
