View and link findings on an estimate

Overview

Estimates include a Findings section. This section shows the equipment findings linked to that estimate. Your team can quote with full repair context, instead of retyping notes by hand. You can link one or more findings, see them ordered by priority, and unlink any you added by mistake.

Things to know

  • The Findings section appears on the estimate screen.

  • It lists every finding linked to that estimate.

  • Findings are ordered by priority, with the highest priority first.

  • Each finding row shows the finding code, name, priority, status, and related equipment.

  • You can link one finding or several at the same time.

  • You can link the same finding to more than one estimate.

  • The findings appear on the estimate for your team only. They do not show on the customer proposal.

View the Findings section on an estimate

  1. Open the estimate you want to review.

  2. Find the Findings section.

  3. Review the linked findings. They are ordered by priority, with the highest first.

  4. Read each finding row. It shows the finding code, name, priority, status, and related equipment.

  5. To hide the section, collapse it.

  1. Open the estimate.

  2. In the Findings section, select Link Finding.

  3. In the search box, enter a finding name or description.

  4. Review the list. It shows findings recorded at the same location as the estimate.

  5. Select one or more findings and click Link.

The linked findings appear in the Findings section, ordered by priority.

  1. Open the estimate.

  2. In the Findings section, find the finding you want to remove.

  3. Select Unlink for that finding.

  4. In the Unlink Finding? pop-up that opens, click Unlink Finding.

You can link the same finding to more than one estimate. Repeat the linking steps above on each estimate where you want the finding to appear.
