Overview

When your company has Field Pro and the Recording Deep-Link feature configured, the Field Mobile App automatically opens the Field Pro app to record your sales conversations. Recording starts when you arrive at a job and stops when you close the job out.

This experience is an alternative to the in-app Field Mobile App recording method, giving you a cleaner job view and more reliable recording.

Feature configuration

  • The Field Mobile App is optimized for iOS, iPadOS, and Android phones and tablets. For more, see System requirements and mobile app information.

  • If you're using the Field Mobile App and need support, please contact (through the office) or reach out directly to support@servicetitan.com.

  • This feature is currently in Limited Release and available for specific accounts. It is subject to change. If you want to enable this feature for your account, reach out to your Pro Product Specialist (PPS).

  • Account configuration and office setup are required to use this feature. Please contact your office for details.

  • The View Field Pro permission is required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

  • The ServiceTitan Field Pro app must be installed, signed into, and have permissions allowed on the same device as the Field Mobile App.

Things to know

  • When this feature is enabled, the Field Mobile App no longer displays in-app recording banners, consent prompts, or recording controls. All recording activity happens in the Field Pro app.

  • If the Field Pro app is not installed or is not responding when a recording starts, the job closeout in the Field Mobile App still completes normally. Contact your office if recording did not start or stop as expected.

  • If you are arrived at a job while the Field Mobile App is closed—for example, through auto-arrive or an office-initiated arrive—the deep link to Field Pro initiates when you open the Field Mobile App.

  • Depending on your office's configuration, recording may start and stop automatically, or you may have additional controls available in the Field Pro app. Confirm with your office how they'd like you to use sales recordings on jobs.

  • This feature works offline when you arrive at a job—the deep link to the Field Pro app still initiates without an internet connection. However, if the office completes your job while the Field Mobile App is closed or offline, the recording may continue until you open the Field Mobile App and return online.

Capture job-site recordings with the Field Pro app from the Field Mobile App

  1. Open your current job in the Field Mobile App and tap Arrive.

  2. The Field Mobile App automatically opens the Field Pro app and the recording starts. A timer displays five seconds remaining with options to pause or finish.

    Note: If recording consent is required, the Field Pro app prompts you for consent before recording begins.

  3. After recording starts, the Field Pro app redirects you back to the Field Mobile.

  4. Complete your job as normal in the Field Mobile App.

  5. When you're ready to close the job, tap Complete, Pause, Hold and Reschedule, or Schedule Another Appointment.

  6. The Field Mobile App automatically opens the Field Pro app to stop recording.

  7. After the recording stops, the Field Pro app redirects you back to the Field Mobile App.

The recording is saved to the job automatically and available for review in Field Pro.

Note: If the Field Pro app doesn't open or is unresponsive, the job closeout still completes normally in the Field Mobile App. Contact your office if the recording didn't stop as expected.
