Problem

Users may find that a recurring service event is scheduled after the membership expiration date. This happens because of specific backend configurations.

Solution

There are several things to check before identifying the reason and fixing the issue. By following these steps, you can understand why a scheduled event occurred after a membership expiration date in ServiceTitan.

A. Check the membership expiration date

  1. Go to the Customer page.

  2. Find the membership in question.

  3. Check the end date of the membership.

B. Verify the event booking date

  1. Go to the Recurring Service page.

  2. Look for the event and check its scheduled date.

C. Understand the configuration

  • ServiceTitan has a backend account configuration that allows recurring services tied to customer membership to continue even after the membership expires. This means events can still be booked and will appear as bookable on the Locations and Customer Memberships page, as well as the Upcoming Appointment page.

  • If you wish to change this configuration, please contact Technical Support for details.

D. Confirm the event was booked before membership expiration

  • If the event was booked while the membership was still active, it's expected behavior for the event to be scheduled after the membership's expiration date based on the configuration mentioned in step 3.
