What is the recommended workflow to create a new recurring service for a job?

Problem

You want to attach a Job to a new recurring service but don't know how.

Solution

By following these steps, you create a new recurring service for Job and ensure it's linked.

1. Create a recurring service type

  1. Go to Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. > Invoicing > Recurring Service Types.

  2. Click Create Recurring Service Type.

  3. Follow the steps to create a new recurring service type. This sets the foundation for your recurring service.

Note: If you want to use an existing Recurring Service type, skip this step.

2. Add the Recurring Service to a Membership

  1. If the customer does not have a membership set up, sell one. For more details, see Sell memberships from the office.

  2. Go to the customer membership page.

  3. Edit the membership.

  4. Add the new recurring service type to the membership. This links your service to a membership plan.

3. Apply the Recurring service event to Your Job

  1. Go to the job page.

  2. Scroll down to Recurring Service Events.

  3. Find the right recurring service event that you want to attach to the job.

  4. Click Mark as complete to attach the job to the RSE.
