Use invoice payment links in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App

Overview

With Online Payments, you can add a payment link to the invoice emails that you send to customers. This allows customers to review their invoice and make a payment. In addition to email, you can also send your customers payment links for invoices over SMS in the Field Mobile App.

Tip: If the video doesn't play in full screen, tap More then Fit Screen .

Things to know

  • To use invoice payment links in the Field Mobile App, it must be enabled under Online Payments settings from the office side. Also, the job's business unit must be enabled for Online Payments under Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. > Online payments > Business Units. For more, see Guide to Online Payments and Use SMS invoice payment links.

  • Invoice payment links can only be sent if there's an outstanding balance.

  • If you want to include forms or attachments with the payment link, you must send it over email.

To send the payment link over email:

  1. Open the job and tap the Invoice tab.

  2. In the Payments section, tap Pay.

  3. On the Add Payment screen, enter the payment amount.

  4. In the Payment Type dropdown, select Email Payment LinkOptions for online payment types including email and SMS payment links.

  5. Review the payment details and tap ContinuePayment screen showing current balance, invoice total, and payment details for processing.

  6. If you want the customer to receive the email from your email address, select Send from my email.

    Note: The Send emails from technician email address permission is needed to use this function.

  7. Tap Add contacts to select the email addresses you want to send the invoice to.

  9. (Optional) Attach estimates, forms, and media.

    Coming soon to Field Mobile App Release 19.0: The ability to attach estimates as PDFs when sending invoices.

  10. When finished, tap Send.

The customer has now been emailed a link where they can submit payments for the invoice.

To send the payment link over SMS:

  1. Open the job and tap the Invoice tab.

  2. In the Payments section, tap Pay.

  3. On the Add Payment screen, enter the payment amount.

  4. In the Payment Type dropdown, select Send SMS Payment LinkOptions for online payment types including email and SMS payment links.

  5. Review the payment details and tap ContinuePayment screen showing current balance, invoice total, and payment details for processing.

  6. Tap Add contacts to select the mobile phone numbers you want to send the invoice to.SMS payment link interface showing options to add contacts and invoice details.

  8. When finished, tap Send.

The customer has now been texted a link where they can submit payments for the invoice.
