Overview
The Incorrect Deferred Revenue Billing Templates report lists customer memberships that have a task on their billing template that sells or renews a membership. The report scans active membership records and surfaces any whose billing template includes a task with a "sell membership" or "renew membership" workflow action. Use it to find and correct these memberships so your deferred revenue records stay accurate and your account passes the related TitanAdvisor checkpoint.

Things to know
This is a built-in report. You don't need to create it from a template. Search for it by name under Reports.

Note: If you want to create this report from a template, you can find it under Membership Billing Template Audit when creating a new report.

How to find this report
Go to the navigation bar and click Reports.
Search for Incorrect Deferred Revenue Billing Templates, then click the report name.
Set any available filters, then click Run Report.

Note: A membership record appears on this report only when its billing template contains a task whose workflow action sells or renews a membership. An empty result means no incorrect billing-template tasks were found.

How to fix records on this report
A billing template should only charge the recurring membership fee. When a task that sells or renews a membership is added to a billing template by mistake, that task runs its workflow action every time billing processes, which can create unintended membership records or renewals and throw off deferred revenue reporting.
If a membership record appears on this report, edit the billing template to replace the task with one that does not have a sell-membership or renew-membership workflow action:
Go to Settings > Invoicing > Membership Types.
Click Edit next to the membership type that needs to be fixed.
Click the Billing dropdown at the top then select Billing Template.

Click Edit.

Click Delete
next to the task that has a Sell Membership or Renew Membership action.
If needed, click Add Service to replace the previous task with one that does not use the Sell Membership or Renew Membership action.
Save your changes.
Updating these settings only applies to future memberships, not memberships on the report. To update memberships on the report, follow the steps below after updating your settings:
