Legacy reports are the original, built-in reports that predate the newer built-in reports. These reports cover a wide range of business needs, including marketing, operations, technician performance, accounting, and payments. Many legacy reports have been upgraded or replaced by more robust versions as built-in reports or custom report templates, but some are still in use for specific workflows or data needs.

We recommend using the upgraded built-in reports or creating custom reports instead of using the legacy reports. The built-in reports and custom reports offer enhanced features, such as drilldowns, consistent KPIs, better customization, and improved scheduling options.

FAQ

Why can't I share Legacy reports?

Legacy reports don't have the same sort of sharing settings as built-in or custom report do. They are instead controlled by report permissions and report category permissions, which determine who can access the reports to run. You can schedule Legacy reports to be run and delivered to select recipients, but they won't have access to run the report themselves unless they're granted the specific report or category permission. See Set reporting permissions for more.
