Best practices

Enable Dispatch Pro from your settings

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings.

  2. In the side panel, go to Dispatch Pro > Settings.

  3. On the Dispatch Pro Settings screen that opens, select your preferred Dispatch Pro Mode:

    1. Assist Mode: Dispatchers can generate, review, and approve suggested optimizations for each Dispatch Pro-enabled job. This provides greater transparency and control over the changes Dispatch Pro is making. For more, see Use Dispatch Assist in Dispatch Pro.

    2. Auto Mode: Dispatch Pro automatically assigns the most optimal technician to Dispatch Pro-enabled jobs, eliminating the need for manual review. While Dispatch Pro does the heavy lifting in Auto Mode, it still needs dispatchers to oversee it.A cursor selecting the Assist Mode option in Dispatch Pro Mode section.

  4. Review your settings and make adjustments as needed.

Note: This is especially important if you have more than 10 managed technicians who cover multiple geographic areas or technicians who specialize in different job types. For details on each settings tab, see:

    1. Adjust Dispatch Pro Routing Settings

    2. Adjust Dispatch Pro Locking Jobs Settings

    3. Adjust Dispatch Pro Prioritization Settings

  7. The setup check begins running automatically. It generally takes up to 10 minutes to run. When it's complete:

    1. If you see a Checkicon next to Dispatch Pro, that means it's live and running every 10 minutes. Setup check warnings with a Check  icon are suggestions only.

    2. If you see an Officon next to Dispatch Pro, that means it is not live. Setup check warnings with an Officon need to be addressed before Dispatch Pro can go live. For more, see:

      1. Dispatch Pro setup step 1: Run the Dispatch Pro setup check

      2. Dispatch Pro setup step 2: Resolve issues found by the Dispatch Pro setup check

  8. When Dispatch Pro is live with a Checkicon, it starts optimizing your Dispatch Board immediately.
