Overview

You can adjust Dispatch Pro settings during or after enabling it. If needed, you can also turn off Dispatch Pro from your settings. We recommend that you regularly review and adjust Dispatch Pro settings and strategies based on performance data and feedback. This helps to continuously optimize operations and drive business growth.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators and managers

  • Primarily for Residential Service and Replacement business types

Feature configuration

  • To get started with Dispatch Pro, review pricing and select your package here. You can also request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager (PAM).

  • Certain permissions are required to set up and manage Dispatch Pro. To have these enabled, please contact the account administrator on your team. For more, see the Required permissions section of Dispatch Pro.

Things to know

  • Dispatch Pro is as effective as the data it has access to. Expect an adjustment period while you manage and revise your data and settings.

Best practices

  • We recommend that you review and adjust your settings as needed during shoulder slow seasons to prepare for the busy season.

Open Dispatch Pro settings

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings.

  2. In the side panel, go to Dispatch Pro>Settings.

  3. In the Settings section, click one of the following tabs to configure your settings:    

    1. Routing

    2. Locking Jobs

    3. Prioritization

    4. Technician Settings

    5. Technician Ranking

    6. Business Units

    7. Dispatch Pro Modes

Settings overview

Routing

In Dispatch Pro Routing Settings, you can:

  • Choose how to balance revenue versus drive time

  • Choose the maximum drive time between appointments

  • Overwrite the maximum drive time for specific zones

  • Choose the importance of end-of-day proximity to technicians' ending location addresses

Locking Jobs

In Dispatch Pro Locking Jobs Settings, you can:

  • Choose if reassignment and reshuffling of jobs should happen up to the last minute

  • Choose when to lock each appointment

Prioritization

In Dispatch Pro Prioritization Settings, you can:

  • Enable or disable Dispatch Pro for specific job types

  • Choose which job types have a higher priority

  • Use tags to determine job type priority

Technician Settings

In Dispatch Pro Technician Settings, you can:

  • Enable or disable Dispatch Pro for specific technicians

  • Generate skills for technicians and job types

  • Overwrite zones, skills, maximum drive time, routing, starting location, and ending location for specific technicians

  • Associate skills with tags

  • Enable preferred or recent technician assignments

Technician Ranking

In Dispatch Pro Technician Ranking Settings, you can:

  • Choose how you want to weigh short-term and long-term technician performance

  • Choose how you want to weigh average ticket and conversion rate scores

  • Select a technician minimum job count threshold

  • Rank technicians without enough data

Business Units

In Dispatch Pro Business Units Settings, you can customize configurations for each business unit. For more, see Adjust Dispatch Pro Business Units Settings.

Dispatch Pro Modes

In Dispatch Pro Modes Settings, you can configure how Dispatch Pro handles today and the next 3 days:

  • Choose between manual approval of suggestions or automated assignment of technicians.

  • Decide whether to optimize all Dispatch Pro-enabled jobs or only unassigned jobs for each day.

Turn off Dispatch Pro

If you need to turn off Dispatch Pro for any reason:

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings.

  2. In the side panel, go to Dispatch Pro > Settings.

  3. On the Dispatch Pro screen that opens, click the Dispatch Pro dropdown and select Turn Off Dispatch Pro.A hand points to the option to turn off Dispatch Pro in a dropdown menu.

  4. To turn on Dispatch Pro, click the Dispatch Pro dropdown and select Turn On Dispatch Pro.
