Overview

The Dispatch Pro Utilization report template lets you build custom reports on how Dispatch Pro is being used. Running this report gives you insight into the percentage of jobs that are being automatically assigned out of all Dispatch Pro-enabled job types.

  • Administrators, managers, and dispatchers

  • Primarily for Residential Service and Replacement business types

Feature configuration

  • Account configuration is required to use the Dispatch Pro Utilization report template. Please contact Technical Support for details.

  • To get started with Dispatch Pro, review pricing and select your package here. You can also request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager.

  • Creating custom reports is available only to contractors on the Works package or Legacy/Non-Packaged contractors. Contractors on the Starter and Essentials packages have access to built-in reports.

Things to know

  • Dispatch Pro only works with managed technicians.

  • The Dispatch Pro Utilization report only updates once per day. After you make and save changes to your Dispatch Pro settings, wait at least 24 hours before running the report to see the results update.

  • If you're unsure which columns you want to include in your report, use the Reporting Dictionary to search for appropriate data fields.

  • You can use this template to create as many custom reports as you need. Each report created from the template is independent and can be run or scheduled without needing to recreate it from the original template.

Best practices

  • To get the most return on investment (ROI) from Dispatch Pro, let it automate assignments as much as possible. We recommend aiming for at least 50% utilization by allowing Dispatch Pro to assign 50% of your jobs automatically.

  • Use this report to see how Dispatch Pro is performing and how your employees are working with it.

Create a Dispatch Pro Utilization report

Follow the steps to create a custom report. For the report type, click Others. For the report template, click Reports / Dispatch Pro Utilization.

The template has the following columns selected by default:

  • Dispatch Pro Assigned Jobs: The number of jobs that were assigned by Dispatch Pro and remained assigned to the same technicians.

  • Manually Assigned Jobs: The number of jobs that were manually assigned by employees.

  • Dispatch Pro Enabled Jobs: The number of jobs that were Dispatch Pro-enabled.

  • Utilization Percentage: The percentage of jobs that were automatically assigned by Dispatch Pro. Calculation: [Dispatch Pro assigned jobs] / [Dispatch Pro enabled jobs]

The following columns are not selected by default. We recommend that you at least select the Completed On column to help you identify which dates the jobs were completed on:

  • Completed On: The date the jobs were completed.

  • Month: The month the jobs were completed.

Run a Dispatch Pro Utilization report

After you create and save a report for Dispatch Pro Utilization, you can run the report to see how Dispatch Pro is performing:

  1. Click the From - To field to set date filters. You can:

    1. Use the calendar to select a specific date range and then click Apply.A cursor clicking Apply after using the calendar to select a specific date range.

    2. Use the left menu to select a preset date range:            

      1. Today: From 12:00 AM to the current time.

      2. Yesterday: Previous day, from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.

      3. This Week: From Monday through Sunday of the current week.

      4. Week to Date: From Monday through the current date of the current week.

      5. Last 7 Days: Previous seven days, including today.

      6. Last 14 Days: Previous 14 days, including today.

      7. Last 30 Days: Previous 30 days, including today.

      8. Month to Date: From the first of the current month to the current day.

      9. Last Month: Entire month before the current month. For example, if the date is February 5, the entire month of January.

      10. Last 90 Days: Previous 90 days, including today.

      11. This Quarter: Current quarter, including future dates. For example, if the date is April 25, from April 1 - June 30.

      12. Last Quarter: Entire quarter before the current quarter. For example, if the date is April 25, from January 1 - March 31.

      13. Quarter to Date: From the first day of the current quarter to the current day.

      14. Year to Date: From January 1 of the current year to the current day.

      15. Last 365 Days: Previous 365 days, including today.

      16. Last Year: From January 1 of the previous year to December 31.

  2. Click the Business Unit dropdown to filter the report by business unit (BU).

  3. When finished, click Run Report.

The report returns with results. Each row in the report represents an individual date.

You can export the report, edit the columns shown in the report, and drag column headers to group by that column. For more, see Run, filter, and export reports.
