Things to know

  • When you create a new location record in ServiceTitan, be sure to add it to the correct customer record, if one already exists. If the location is for a customer not already in ServiceTitan, add the location by creating a new customer record.

  • ServiceTitan identifies customers by the phone number they're using when they call in. If ServiceTitan doesn't automatically detect a customer's name when they call, search to make sure they aren't already in the system under a different phone number. This helps you avoid accidentally creating a duplicate record. For more, see the Find Customer and Location Records section of Customer and Location Records overview.

  • After you change the customer on an existing location record, the history of previous invoices and transactions will still show as paid by the previous customer.
