Overview

Field managers and production managers can use the Field Mobile App to oversee roofing jobs from start to finish. The app covers reviewing job details, managing purchase orders (POs), dispatching, completing forms, collecting payments, and closing out jobs. This streamlines your day so you spend less time on paperwork.

Who uses this feature

  • Field Employees

  • Applies to all business types

  • Primarily benefits Roofing/Exterior trades

Feature configuration

Things to know

  • The Field Mobile App requires an internet connection to use the pull-to-refresh action. If you don't have internet access, the app uses the last synced data until you reconnect.

  • You can view jobs across four tabs: Today, Upcoming, Previous, and Paused. The Previous tab requires the View History Tab permission.

  • The Ask Atlas AI assistant—powered by Titan Intelligence (TI)—is available to help answer questions about the job.

  • You can add items to a job directly, including equipment, invoice items, work performed logs, payments, estimates, proposals, purchase orders, findings, and notes.

  • A recording consent banner may appear when you arrive on-site. Tap it to view the consent message before recording begins.

Best practices

  • Review your job details, including the job summary, special instructions, and any alerts—such as Beware of Dog—before heading to the job site.

  • Check the Tags section on the Job tab for important status indicators like Purchase Order Pending so you know if materials are still in transit.

  • Use the Manage Crew link to confirm all assigned installers before dispatching.

  • Complete and submit all required forms before collecting payment or closing out the job.

  • Email the invoice to the customer directly from the app after collecting payment for a seamless closeout process.

Use cases

  • A roofing production manager reviews the day's schedule, checks that PO materials have been received, dispatches the crew, completes a vehicle inspection form before leaving the shop, collects payment on-site, and closes out the job—all without returning to the office.

  • A field manager arrives at a roof replacement job, reviews the job summary and special instructions, confirms the crew assignment, and uses Atlas to quickly look up project details.

  • A field manager receives materials on-site by tapping Start Receiving on the PO, then completes the required inspection forms before work begins.
