Manage Field Pro settings for technicians

Overview

Field Pro settings let you control which technicians can use Field Pro and what they can do in the app. You can view technician details, manage Field Pro access, and configure recording permissions. Use these settings to grant appropriate Field Pro access while maintaining compliance and workflow standards.

Feature configuration

  • To get started with Field Pro, request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager (PAM).

  • If you're an existing Sales Pro customer and want to migrate to Field Pro, please fill out this form.

  • The following permissions are required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team.                      

    • View Field Pro Settings

    • Edit Field Pro Settings

Things to know

  • Recording control permissions: disable recording cancellation, disable recording stop, and disable recording pause, apply only to technicians who use Field Mobile App.

Use cases

  • You need to ensure technicians can't pause, stop, or delete recordings to maintain complete documentation of service visits.

  • You want to enable Field Pro access for all technicians at once.

Access and view Field Pro technician settings

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. .

  2. In the side panel, go to Field Pro > Settings.

  3. On the Field Pro Settings screen that opens, click Technicians tab. Field Pro Settings page showing options for managing technicians and general settings.

On the Technicians tab, you can see a list of all technicians and perform the following actions:

  • Click a technician's name to open their profile. List of contacts with phone numbers, highlighting Charles and his enabled status.

  • View the technician's email, phone information, and team assignment.

  • See whether Field Pro Standard is currently enabled or disabled for each technician.

  • See whether Field Pro Advanced is currently enabled or disabled for each technician.

  • Check the technician's active or inactive status. Table displaying user settings with enabled and disabled statuses for features.

Filter technicians in the table

Use filters to narrow down the list of technicians you want to manage.

You can filter by:

  • Search: Use the search field to find technicians by name.

  • Field Pro Standard: Filter technicians with Field Pro Standard Enabled or Disabled.

  • Field Pro Advanced: Filter technicians with Field Pro Advanced Enabled or Disabled.

  • Field Pro Team: Show only technicians assigned to a specific team.

  • Integration Status: Filter technicians by their current integration status, Ok, Warning, Error.

Tip: You can combine multiple filters to refine the results.

Edit Field Pro settings for an individual technician

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. > Field Pro > Settings.

  2. On the Field Pro Settings screen that opens, click the Technicians tab.

  3. Find the technician you want to update and click Edit User management table displaying names, statuses, and action icons for each user.

  4. On the Edit Technician pop-up that opens, update any of the following:        

    1. Select Enable Field Pro Advanced or Enable Field Pro Standard to give the technician Field Pro access. Editing technician settings with options for enabling advanced and standard features.

    2. From the Team dropdown, change the technician's team assignment. Editing technician settings with options for Field Pro Advanced and Standard features.

    3. Use the recording controls to manage technician permissions:                

      1. Disable Recording Cancellation: Prevents technicians from canceling a recording.

      2. Disable Recording Stop: Prevents stopping an active recording.

      3. Disable Recording Pause: Prevents pausing a recording. Settings for disabling recording options in the Field Mobile App interface.

    4. Change the Day in Review notification time.                

      Tip: You can set a default Day in Review end time for technicians. For more, see Configure day in review notifications for technicians in Field Pro.

    5. Select Disable Notifications to prevent technicians from receiving Day in Review push notifications. Settings interface showing day end time and option to disable notifications.                

      Note: This applies only to technicians who use the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.

  5. When finished, click Save.

Bulk edit Field Pro settings for multiple technicians

  1. Go to Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. > Field Pro > Settings and open the Technicians tab.

  2. Select the technicians you want to update.        

    Tip: Click Select All to choose all technicians in the list.

  3. Click  Bulk EditField Pro Settings page displaying technicians' names, emails, and bulk edit option.

  4. On the Bulk Edit Technicians pop-up that opens, update any of the following settings:        

    1. Select Enable Field Pro Advanced or Enable Field Pro Standard to give the technician Field Pro access.

    2. From the team dropdown, change the technicians' team.

    3. Use the recording controls to manage technician permissions:                

      1. Disable Recording Cancellation: Prevents technicians from canceling a recording.

      2. Disable Recording Stop: Prevents stopping an active recording.

      3. Disable Recording Pause: Prevents pausing a recording.

    4. Change the Day in Review notification time.

    5. Select Disable Notifications to prevent technicians from receiving Day in Review push notifications.                

      Note: This applies only to technicians who use the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.

  5. When finished, click Apply to techniciansBulk edit options for technicians, including recording controls and team selection.
