Overview

Hold and reschedule a job appointment if the work can't be finished today and there's a need to reschedule. This ensures all work is properly tracked. If you plan to return the same day, pause the appointment instead.

Things to know

  • You can hold appointments one at a time.

  • You cannot place appointments on hold if you have not arrived at the job.

  • You cannot remove the Hold from an appointment, it must be completed by the office.

Hold and reschedule an appointment in the Field Mobile App

  1. Open the job and tap Close Out.

  2. On the Close Out screen that opens, tap Hold and Reschedule AppointmentOptions for closing out an appointment, including rescheduling and marking completion.

  3. On the screen that opens, select the Reason for Hold.

  4. (Optional) Leave a note for the office.

  5. When finished, tap Place Appointment on HoldInstructions for placing an appointment on hold due to waiting for materials.

This marks the appointment as Done and moves it to the Previous tab. A duplicate appointment is created automatically on the Paused tab. Your office will need to remove the hold from the new appointment before you can dispatch and arrive to it.
