Overview
Warehouse managers streamline inventory management by generating purchase and transfer transactions directly from sold estimates using Item Requisitions. This ensures timely material availability and improves operational efficiency.

Things to know
Go to Settings > Inventory > Configuration, click the Purchasing tab, and set up the requisition for sold estimates. Select whether to generate install requisitions or item requisitions for sold estimates from each business unit.

Note:
Install Requisitions are recommended for Business Units where the Sold Estimate generates multiple transactions for Purchasing or Inventory.
Item Requisitions are recommended for Business Units where the Sold Estimate only generates a singular Purchasing or Inventory transaction.
Tip: Click the Business Unit dropdown field, enter your filter, and click Apply to find a business unit you want.
When you add a template pricebook item from an estimate to a requisition, the name, description, and cost now carry over automatically. For more see, Manage template pricebook items.
Initiate requisition from a sold estimate using item requisition
Search for and open the estimate for which you want to initiate the requisition.
Note: If the estimate isn't sold, sell the open estimate to begin the requisition.
Click Initiate Requisition.
Select or deselect the items you want to requisition and click Start Requisition. The Start Requisition pop-up opens.

From the Job # dropdown, select the job for which the items are used, then click Next.
The Item Requisition screen opens with the list of the generated requisitions for the items you selected.Select the items you want to work with and click Update Items.

On the Update Items pop-up that opens:
From the Inventory Location dropdown, select the location where you want to ship the item.
From the Procurement Source dropdown, select the vendor where you want to procure the items.
Tip: Click Truck, Warehouses, Mobile Storages, or Vendors, to select the procurement source from the relevant list.
Note: If you select Default Warehouse as the procurement source, ServiceTitan creates transfers. If you choose Truck, Vendor, or Mobile Storage, it creates a purchase order.
From the Business Unit dropdown select the business unit related to the items.

When finished, click Update.
If you selected Truck, Vendor, or Mobile Storage as a procurement source, see Create a purchase order using requisition items. If you selected Default Warehouse as the procurement source, see Create a transfer using requisition items.
Create a purchase order using requisition items
On the Items Requisition screen, select the items and click Create Transactions.

On the Create Transaction pop-up that opens:
Click Create to create purchase orders.
Click Create and Send POs to create and send POs to vendors.
If you select Create and Send POs, the Send Purchase Order pop-up window opens.
From the Format dropdown, select Mark as Sent, then click Send.
ServiceTitan creates a Purchase Order in Pending status.Click View.

On the purchase order record screen that opens, click Receive. The Receive a Shipment screen opens.
In the Vendor Document Number field, enter the vendor document number and click Save.

ServiceTitan creates the recipient with the attached PO. For more, see Manage receipts.

Create a transfer using requisition items
On the Items Requisition screen, select the items and click Create Transactions.
On the Create Transaction pop-up that opens, click Create.
ServiceTitan creates Transfer in Pending status.Click View.
On the transfer record screen that opens, click Mark as Picked.
ServiceTitan automatically performs the invoice closeout action.
