Use Map filters
Filters are located at the top of the property list panel. When you click Filters, the Property Attributes section opens by default. Click the arrow
to minimize that section and view all filters.

After selecting a filter, the system automatically updates the results, showing the number of properties that correspond to your selection.

Click Reset all
to clear all the selections.

Filter by Property Attributes
Use these filters to search based on the building's external characteristics, including location, area, type, size, and more.
Tip: Hover over the filters to learn what they do.
The section includes:
Locations: Click the dropdown to search by states, countries, and towns. You can see the number of properties next to each location.

When you click a location, it appears in the Locations search bar. The checkmark next to it shows that it is selected.

Draw Area: Click Draw Area to draw a boundary on the map. After the area is defined, the property list automatically updates to display only properties located within the drawn boundary.

To clear the selection, click Clear.
ZIP Codes: Use Zip codes to filter by a specific zip code.
Lock Filter by Map: Enable the toggle to lock the map view from updating.

Property Type: Select a property type from the dropdown or enter a property type on the search type bar. When finished, click Apply.
Note: You can select more than one type.
Building (ft²): You can filter by:
entering numbers for the minimum and maximum square feet of a building
moving the filter line
selecting the existing options
Grounds (acres): You can filter by:
entering numbers for the minimum and maximum acres of a building
moving the filter line
selecting the existing options
Stories: Filter the properties by the number of floors. You can:
Manually enter the minimum and maximum number of floors.
Move the filter line to select a range.
Year: Filter by year built. You can:
Manually enter the minimum and maximum year for the building.
Move the filter line to select a range.
Filter by Contact Attributes
Use these filters to search for tenants inside the building so that you can make connections and start building a relationship. The section includes:
Job Function: Click it to enter a job category or select from the existing options.
Job Title: Use this filter to search for contacts by a specific job title.
Note: The Job Function filter targets a broader category of roles rather than specific job titles. For example, a Facility Manager in one building might be called an Operations Manager or Maintenance Manager in another. Instead of searching by a single title, selecting a job function like Facilities Management ensures you include all relevant roles, such as Operations Managers, General Managers, and Plant Managers. This flexibility ensures no potential contacts are missed, even if job titles vary.
Management Level: Enter a contact management level or select from the existing list.
Industry: Enter an industry or select from the existing list that the contacts work.

Company Name: Enter the company name for which you are searching the contacts.
Company Annual Revenue: Select the annual revenue of the company the contacts work.
Company Employee Count: Select the count of employees in the companies where the contact works.
Filter by Permits
Permits provide a detailed view of construction and renovation activities for properties based on permit data. You can configure the types of permits you want to display on properties by clicking Settings
and selecting permit types from the list.

The section includes:
Permits Only: Enable the toggle to see only properties with permit information.
Permit Date: Click to select a minimum and maximum date range from the calendar.
Permit Contractor/Company: Filter properties with permits by a contractor or company that has done some work in the past.
Permit Details: Enter a keyword to narrow down your search. For example, you can type boiler to find every building where work has been done to a boiler.
Filter by Ownership
These filters are used to search by the owners of the properties. The section includes:
Owner Occupied: Enable the toggle to see the buildings that are owner-occupied.
Owner Name: Filter properties by owner information. For example, you worked with XYZ owner and want to know how many buildings they own.
Last Sale Date: Click to select a minimum and maximum date range from the calendar. This helps identify properties that were sold recently. It also allows sales teams to engage with new owners, assess potential changes in needs, and reintroduce themselves to organizations after ownership transitions.
Last Owner Name: Enter the name of the owner who previously owned the property.
Filter by My Workflow
My workflow refers to filtering by campaigns, representatives, stages, etc. The section includes:
Assigned to You: Enable the toggle to see all the properties assigned to you.
Campaigns: Enter the name of a campaign or select from the All Campaigns list.
Prospecting Stage: Enter the name of the stage or select from the Prospecting Stage list.
Rep: Enter the name of the representative assigned to the property or select from the Rep list.
Cards: Use this to filter the buildings that have cards created. Enter the type of the cards or select from the list.
Starred: Enable the toggle to see the starred properties.
Archived Only: Enable the toggle if you want to see archived properties.
Added Properties: Enable the toggle if you want to see properties that are added by you or your team.
Filter by Custom Fields
Custom Fields allows you to filter the data based on specific, user-defined fields added to the dataset. The custom fields appear in the filters section only after you configure them in the settings. To create a custom field for a properties search:
Click your initials on the navigation menu.
From the side menu, click Settings.
On the Settings screen, click Custom Fields.
Select the Properties tab.
From the Create Custom Field section, select a field and drop it to the Properties tab.

Enter a name for the field and click Add Field.
For more, see (coming soon).
Filter by Assets
Assets represent a set of user-ingested data with customizable fields, tailored to meet your specific needs. Once enabled by the Convex team, the filter becomes accessible for use. For instance, if you are searching for properties with AC installed, the filter allows you to identify properties with specific equipment installations. This enables more refined searches, helping you achieve your business objectives.
