Keep your daily screens in view with Favorites and Go to...

Overview

The navigation bar now shows your favorite screens instead of every screen you can reach. Use Go to... to find any other screen by typing its name, and star the screens you want to keep. Your navigation stays short, and everything else is one search away.

Who uses this feature

  • Office employees

  • Applies to all business types

  • Applies to all trades

Feature configuration

  • This feature starts as a private preview and rolls out to companies in waves. ServiceTitan turns it on for your company automatically, and no setup is needed.

Things to know

  • The navigation bar shows only your favorites. Every other screen you can access is in Go to....

  • Go to... finds screens only. To find customers, jobs, or invoices, use Global Search in the header.

  • Go to... lists only the screens you already have access to.

  • Your favorites are saved to your user account. They don't change anyone else's navigation.

  • Dashboard and Messages are permanent and can't be removed from your navigation.

  • At existing companies, your navigation starts with the screens you saw before the update. New companies start from a default list based on your role.

  • Other navigation changes:

    • For Residential companies, Calls is renamed Communications, with Calls, Text Messages, and Bookings under it. Commercial companies keep Job Booking.

    • Clicking an area opens that area's own screen when it has one. Dispatch still opens your Preferred Dispatch Board.

    • Reports > All Reports is removed. Click Reports to open All Reports.

    • The navigation remembers which menus you left open.

Best practices

  • Star the few screens you use every day, and reach everything else through Go to....

  • Star a whole area, such as Accounting, when you use most of its screens.

  • If you remove too much, use Restore Default Favorites to start over.

Use cases

  • A CSR keeps only the screens they use daily in their navigation, so there's nothing extra to scroll past.

  • An office manager needs a screen once a month. They type its name in Go to... instead of browsing menus.

  • An owner at a new company starts from a default list that includes admin areas such as Command Center and Automations.

Find a screen with Go to...

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Go to....

  2. In the panel that opens, enter part of the screen name. The list filters as you type.

  3. Click the screen you want. It opens and the panel closes.

Add or remove favorites

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Go to....

  2. Find the screen you want to add or remove.

  3. Click the star next to the screen.

    • An empty star adds the screen to your navigation.

    • A filled star removes it. The screen stays in Go to..., so you can add it again later.

Tip: Star an area, such as Accounting, to add every screen under it that you can access.

Note: Changes apply right away. There's no save step.

Note: Some screens show a lock icon instead of a star. These screens are permanent and can’t be removed from your navigation.

Restore your default favorites

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Go to....

  2. At the bottom of the panel, click Restore Default Favorites.

Your navigation returns to its starting list, showing only screens you can currently access:

  • Existing companies: the screens you had before the update.

  • New companies: the default list for your role.
