Overview

Turn on Dispatch Assist to keep tight control over your dispatch board changes. With Dispatch Assist, dispatchers can generate and review suggested optimizations before applying them, ensuring full transparency and control over your scheduling decisions.

Feature configuration

  • To get started with Dispatch Pro, review pricing and select your package here. You can also request a demo on our Pro Products page, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Pro Account Manager (PAM).

  • Certain permissions are required to set up and manage Dispatch Pro. To have these enabled, please contact the account administrator on your team. For more, see the Required permissions section of Dispatch Pro.

  • The Access settings and Edit Dispatch Pro settings permissions are required to set up Dispatch Pro Assist. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

Things to know

  • Dispatch Assist mode is enabled by default when you first turn on Dispatch Pro. You can adjust the mode in the Dispatch Pro Settings. For more, see Dispatch Pro Settings overview.

  • When you update the Dispatch Pro mode, dispatchers using the Dispatch Board receive a real-time alert, allowing them to adjust their workflows accordingly.

  • Dispatch Assist does not automatically optimize jobs. Instead, dispatchers can generate and review suggested changes for each job. They can then decide whether to approve the suggestions, giving greater transparency into the changes Dispatch Pro makes.

  • Dispatch Pro must be enabled for a job to use Dispatch Assist.

Best practices

  • Coordinate with your dispatch team before enabling Dispatch Assist, as this impacts their workflows.

  • Train dispatchers on how to evaluate and approve recommendations to ensure a smooth adoption of the feature. For more, see Use Dispatch Assist in Dispatch Pro.

Turn on Dispatch Assist mode

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings.

  2. In the side panel, go to Dispatch Pro > Settings.

  3. In the Dispatch Pro Mode section, select Assist Mode.

    Note: We recommend coordinating with your dispatchers before changing the Dispatch Pro Mode as this impacts their workflows.

  4. When finished, click Save.
