Overview

Memberships offer customers discounts and recurring services in exchange for a one-time or regularly billed fee. Sell memberships in the Field Mobile App to help generate predictable, recurring revenue that also serves as a pipeline for additional business.

Things to know

  • Memberships are created from membership types. Make sure your office has set up membership types for all the memberships your business offers.

  • Membership sale tasks are pricebook service items used to sell memberships. Adding a sale task to an invoice activates the membership.

  • Customers without existing memberships can see the potential savings with member pricing and add-on pricing on the estimate or invoice it's attached to.

  • Membership visits are booked from recurring events included with a membership.

Add a membership to an estimate in the Field Mobile App

  1. Open the job and tap the Estimates tab.

  2. Tap the estimate to open it.

  3. Scroll to the Items section and tap Edit.

  4. On the Estimate Items screen that opens, tap Add Items .

  5. In the pricebook that opens, find the membership you want to sell—as indicated by the Membership Sale tag—then tap AddMembership options displayed with prices and an add button for selection.

  6. If the membership type includes multiple duration and billing frequency options:

    1. Open the membership and tap the Duration & Billing field. User interface showing options for duration, billing, and membership add-ons.

    2. Select how often to bill the membership. Options for adding a contact method with a selected ongoing annual choice.

    3. Tap Add.

  7. When finished, tap Add to Estimate.

The membership sale task is added to the estimate and shows the member savings.

Add a membership to an invoice in the Field Mobile App

  1. Open the job and tap the Invoice tab.

  2. At the bottom of the screen, tap Add > Invoice Item.

  3. In the pricebook that opens, find the membership you want to sell—as indicated by the Membership Sale tag—then tap Add.

  4. If the membership type includes multiple duration and billing frequency options:

    1. Open the membership and tap the Duration & Billing field.

    2. Select how often to bill the membership.

    3. When finished, tap Add.

  5. When finished, tap Add to Invoice.

The membership sale task is added to the Invoice Items section of the invoice.
