Things to know
You can accept check payments in ServiceTitan Mobile without an internet connection. After you accept payment, the Pay screen shows this message: Not yet processed. Please sync your device within 72 hours to fully process payment. The transaction is stored and then later processed once the mobile app is synced.
Option 1: Swipe the credit card
Navigate to the invoice.
Tap Pay, then tap Pay Balance. Select Credit Card or an equivalent payment type (for example, Visa).
Enter payment amount. Select Full balance or enter a specific amount.
Once you tap Use Swiper, the button will say Ready To. You are now ready to swipe the card.
Swipe the credit card.
Note: The magnetic strip should be facing the thicker part of the swiper. The front of the credit card should be facing you.

If the swipe is successful, the customer name, credit card number, and expiration date will automatically populate.
Note: When you swipe a credit card, you do not need the CVV or billing zip to process the payment.
Check Store payment data for future payments to store the credit card info (ask the customer first).
Storing Credit Card Information Securely (Credit Cards): This feature gives users the ability to store credit card transactions securely on our PCI Compliant Payment Gateway and charge the card any time, for both memberships and future job payments. The full credit card number is stored on the outside Payment Gateway and stored in ServiceTitan as an encrypted token, allowing you to charge the card anytime, without storing the card anywhere in your system.Tap Charge at the top of the screen. This takes you to the customer signature page.

Have the customer sign to authorize the payment.
Note: ServiceTitan will store the digital signature in case there is a future dispute.
Once the customer signs, tap Accept to process the payment.

Note: If you cannot get swiping to work, you can always manually enter the credit card. See Option three below for instructions.
Option 2: Take a picture of the credit card (Mobile Check Capture)
When you take a picture of a credit card, the payment will be processed in the same way as a manually entered transaction.
Note: If your company's account has not been configured for this feature, you will not see the Scan Card button.
Navigate to the invoice.
Tap Pay, then tap Pay Balance. Select Credit Card or an equivalent payment type (for example, Visa).
Enter payment amount. Select Full balance or enter a specific amount.

Tap Scan Card in the middle of the screen. This brings up the camera so you can take a picture of the card. How to take a picture of the credit card:
Place the credit card flat on a dark, colored surface that's not reflective and is well lit.
Position your mobile device's camera directly over the credit card (not at an angle). You'll see a guide with 4 green corners. Make sure the card is in the center of the guide.
Once the card is aligned and in focus, take the picture.

If the credit card information was captured, the credit card number and expiration date will be filled out on the payment screen. You will need to manually enter the rest of the customer's information, including the name (as it appears on the card), CVV, and billing zip.
Check Store payment data for future payments to store the credit card info (ask the customer first).

Taking pictures of credit cards may not work for all cards
For example, if the customer has a Chase card (with the credit card numbers displayed on the back) the card information cannot be captured. Cards with minimal contrast between the card number and background color may also not be captured. If taking a picture of the card doesn't work, you can always swipe the credit card or manually enter the card information.
Option 3: Manually enter the credit card
Navigate to the invoice.

Enter payment amount. Select Full balance or enter a specific amount.
Enter the name (as it appears on the card), card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing zip.
