Overview
The estimate builder answers a short set of guided questions about a job and automatically generates a complete tiered (Good/Better/Best) proposal from your company's own Pricebook templates. Instead of searching the Pricebook and assembling every line item by hand while the customer waits, you review the generated options and add the ones you want to the job.

This feature is currently in Private Preview and available for specific accounts only. It is subject to change.
The estimate builder specifically requires a Managed Technician license. The following permissions are required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team.
Create Estimate: Create and duplicate estimates.
Add Estimate and Invoice Item: Add items to estimates.
View Total Price and View item prices: View total and item prices on estimates.
The estimate builder currently supports HVAC replacement jobs only. For other job types, use a proposal template or build a custom estimate.
Things to know
If the estimate builder can't match your job to a template, you'll see a message and can switch to the manual flow (build from a template or build a custom estimate) instead.
If you're offline, the estimate builder is unavailable until you reconnect.
If your account administrator has removed the estimate templates behind this feature, you'll see a message and can build an estimate manually instead.
Create an estimate with the estimate builder
Open the job, then select Estimates for a residential job or Proposals for a commercial job.
Select Create from estimate builder.
Answer the guided questions about the job, such as the boiler type, heat distribution system, system condition, and electrical requirements.
Note: If the available options do not match the job, select None of these – switch to manual flow. You can then create the estimate from a template or build a custom estimate.
Select Build Proposal.
Review the generated options. Each tier—such as Good, Better, or Best—includes:
Equipment, materials, and services
Subtotal, tax, and total
Potential savings compared with other tiers, when available
Select Add to Proposal for each option you want to include.
(Optional) Select Add Add-ons to offer items such as a smart thermostat, filtration upgrade, air purifier, humidifier, or dehumidifier. Select the add-ons, then select Add.
Present the completed proposal to the customer as you would any other estimate.
Switch to the manual flow
If you haven't answered any questions yet, tapping None of these takes you straight to Use a Template or Create a Custom Estimate.
If you've already answered at least one question, you'll be asked to confirm: switching to the manual flow discards your answers so far. You can choose to use a template, create a custom estimate, or keep answering the guided questions.
